Welcome to stars and stillness,
A journey within and beyond.
This is a Jupiter and Cancer inspired walking meditation.
Allow this to be a sacred time for attunement.
Whether barefoot on soft earth,
Strolling through a quiet park,
Weaving through your neighborhood,
Or simply moving within a space that invites your awareness to come home,
Within your body and within the world around you.
Begin in stillness.
Let yourself stand tall,
Yet soft,
Feet planted firmly upon the earth,
Legs grounded and spacious.
A gentle strength rising through your bones.
Let your arms hang freely at your sides.
Lift your chest ever so slightly.
Let your chin be parallel to the sacred ground beneath you.
Take a few deep,
Spacious breaths.
In through the nose.
Out through the mouth.
In through the nose.
Out through the mouth.
Like a quiet sigh of relief.
Let this breath soften you.
Let it open you.
Notice the contact between the soles of your feet and the earth.
Draw your awareness down through your spine,
Through your hips,
Through your legs,
And at the soles of your feet.
Can you sense it?
That subtle hum?
The heartbeat of Mother Earth pulsing gently beneath you and through you.
It is not separate.
It lives within you.
Her tides move your breath.
Her memory echoes in your bones.
Let your awareness gently descend into your body.
Into the rhythm of your breath.
The tender pulse of your heart.
The grounded presence of your feet meeting the earth.
Feel how you are both held and inhibited.
Place one hand on your heart,
The source of your original rhythm.
Place the other on your belly.
A seat of intuition,
Nourishment,
And an ancestral knowing.
If you're a woman,
This may be your womb space,
The chalice of creation.
If you're a man,
Feel the power and steadiness of your core,
The forge of life and presence.
There is no one way to be here.
Only your way.
Let that be enough.
Let it be sacred.
Feel the air on your skin,
Warmth from the sun,
A passing breeze.
Maybe even the tickle of a small-moved creature reminding you that the world is alive with gentle signs of love.
Now begin to walk slowly,
Intentionally.
Each step becomes an act of devotion.
You are not walking away from anything.
You are walking with yourself,
With love,
With presence,
With quiet generosity towards your being.
Let each footstep be a soft offering to the earth.
Receive the ground as much as you touch it.
Heel,
Arch,
Toes.
Let your awareness trace the sacred geometry of each step.
Notice how your body shifts with each movement.
Let your breath move with you effortlessly.
Your breath becomes one with the breeze,
The rustling leaves,
The wings of birds overhead.
You are not just walking in the world.
You are the world walking itself.
Let this awareness root you deeper into your body,
Into the earth,
Into the ancient memory that you have always belonged here.
You might walk towards a destination,
Or follow a pull to simply explore.
There is no wrong direction.
Wherever you go,
You carry the sanctuary of self,
This path sacred because you are sacred.
What do you feel beneath your feet?
Is it cool grass,
Pebbled earth,
Sun-warmed soil?
Let your feet drink the texture,
The story beneath you,
What sounds surround you,
Birdsong,
Wind and branches,
The gentle hush of your own breath.
Notice these sounds move through you like water,
Fluid and nourishing.
What scents rise on the air?
Maybe fresh rain on earth,
Blossoming flowers,
Wild herbs or dark fertile soil.
Let these aromas awaken memory,
Comfort,
And inner presence.
What does your gaze take in?
Let your eyes soften,
No sharp focus needed.
See color,
Motion,
Light and shadow.
Notice what brings a sense of nourishment,
Beauty or deep recognition.
Let it reflect what already lives inside you,
As within,
So without.
Mother Earth is not only beneath you,
She is inside you,
Living in your blood,
Your breath,
Your heartbeat.
As you walk,
Let the act of walking become a sacred exchange,
Not just a journey through the world,
But a conversation with it.
Feel the rhythm of your hips,
The strength in your thighs,
The softness in your chest.
This is a quiet communion,
Earth and body speaking back and forth,
Breath and being moving in rhythm.
This is Jupiter in Cancer,
The blessing of presence,
Faith of the body,
The expansive comfort of knowing,
I am home.
Your body is your temple,
Your breath is a prayer.
Your footsteps are offerings.
You carry the waters of wisdom,
The warmth of love,
The solidity of earth and the tides of sacred change.
As you walk,
Affirm to yourself,
I belong,
My steps are a blessing,
My body is my home.
With each breath I nourish my being,
I walk in faith,
I walk in generosity,
I walk in love.
As you walk,
If thoughts arise,
Let them pass like soft clouds in the sky.
Look up.
Do you see clouds?
Notice their shape.
They're slow and furling.
Let them remind you nothing needs to be forced.
Everything flows.
As you return to the sensation of walking,
To the rhythm that lives deep in your bones,
To the living presence of earth inside you,
Let your hands return to your heart and rest wherever they feel most natural.
Close your eyes if it feels safe to do so.
Take three deep,
Nourishing breaths.
In through the nose,
And gently sigh out your mouth.
Feeling the breath in and exhaling out.
Feeling the breath in and exhaling out.
Another sip of air.
And feel and remain here for your exhale.
Begin to lift your gaze above you and around you.
Notice the tops of the trees,
How they move.
Perhaps they sway gently like dancers in slow motion.
Perhaps they toss with wildness branches alive with motion.
However they move,
They are speaking.
Listen.
Watch.
It's as if the trees are in conversation,
Whispering,
Calling,
Replying in the secret language of wind and limb.
A silent communion,
A sacred dialogue carried on currents unseen.
Let yourself witness it.
And in this witnessing,
Ask,
What has risen within me during this walk?
A thought,
A feeling,
An ache,
A longing,
Maybe a memory or prayer.
Whatever it is,
Offer it now to the trees.
Let them carry it in their rustling.
Lift it on their branches.
Send it into the wind that connects all living things.
You are not alone.
You are part of this living world.
And the trees,
Ancient and wise,
Know how to carry what you can no longer hold.
Let your breath soften.
Feel the gift of release.
Let this moment wash over you,
Quiet,
Sacred.
Take three more deep,
Loving breaths.
With each step.
Return to yourself.
With each breath,
Feel yourself rooted into the truth of your belonging.
The comfort you seek is already here.
So rest now,
Beloved,
Not to withdraw,
But to reclaim.
Let the warmth of this moment gather around you like a soft shawl.
Let it whisper the truth you carry in your bones.
You belong.
You belong.
