Hi,

Frankie here,

Welcome to this inner child meditation.

Find yourself in a comfortable space where you can fully relax and let go.

Allow your breath to be your guide as you open your heart to the child within.

This inner child meditation is part of a powerful series to help you reconnect and heal your inner child.

Each meditation in this series focuses on different aspects of inner child work.

Identifying and healing emotional wounds,

Rediscovering joy,

Offering forgiveness and reclaiming your inner strength.

By nurturing your inner child,

You create a foundation of self love,

Confidence and emotional freedom.

If or when emotions come up,

Just let them flow,

Only yourself and your inner child.

You can also push pause or come back tomorrow if you feel overwhelmed.

Take a moment now to settle in,

Knowing that this is a safe place for you to heal and grow.

Let's begin,

Take a deep breath in and slowly release it out.

Another deep breath in and let it go.

Now allow your breath to settle into a natural rhythm of slow deep breaths in and out of your body.

Today we are working on releasing shame and self blame.

Let your shoulders soften,

Relax your jaw.

Feel the tension in your chest melting away.

Feel the muscles in your arms and legs relaxing.

Allow yourself to sink deeper into relaxation.

As your awareness moves to your heart centre,

Feel the soft rise and fall of your breath as it moves your chest.

Imagine a soft gold light forming in the centre of your heart.

This light is warm,

Soothing and healing.

It is the energy of unconditional love and comparison.

With each inhale,

Feel this golden light growing brighter.

With each exhale,

Feel it spreading through your whole body.

Flowing down your arms,

Through your hands,

Down to your feet.

And now let it come up all the way through your body,

Right to the crown of your head.

Let this light fill you with peace and safety.

Now begin to visualise your inner child standing before you.

See them as clearly as possible.

Perhaps they are 5 or 6 years old.

Or maybe another age comes to mind.

Just notice how they look.

Do they look small?

Do they seem hesitant,

Guarded or ashamed?

Are they looking down or turning away from you?

Just slowly walk up to them and kneel down so you are at eye level with them.

Gently take their hand and say,

I see you,

You are safe with me,

You don't have to be alone anymore.

Notice how they respond.

They may look uncertain or guarded.

They may hesitate to meet your gaze.

Or they may step towards you right away.

However they respond,

It's perfect.

Now softly ask your inner child,

What are you ashamed of?

What are you blaming yourself for?

Just let the answers arise naturally.

You may feel a memory surfacing.

A moment when you were made to feel like you did something wrong.

A time when you were punished just for expressing yourself.

A moment when you felt humiliated,

Blamed or shamed for something that wasn't even your fault.

Whatever arises,

Allow it to come forward.

Now hold space for it without any judgement.

You are safe now.

Gently say to your inner child,

I am so sorry you were made to feel ashamed.

I am so sorry you were blamed for things that weren't your fault.

It was never your fault.

You didn't deserve to feel that way.

See the golden light in your heart beginning to grow bigger.

Feel it radiating towards your inner child.

Wrapping them in warmth and comfort.

See the heaviness and shame beginning to melt away.

Now place your hand on your inner child's heart and say,

You don't have to carry this anymore.

It's not your fault.

You were doing the best you could.

You were innocent.

You are forgiven.

See your inner child's eyes begin to soften.

See the tension in their face start to fade away.

Feel the golden light dissolving the weight of shame and self-blame.

Now take their hands and say,

You are not responsible for other people's feelings.

You are not to blame for what happened.

You were never meant to carry this weight.

It's time to release it.

Now imagine your inner child holding a heavy object.

Perhaps it's a dark stone or a heavy bag.

See them hesitating,

Holding onto it tightly.

Now say to them,

It's safe to let it go.

You don't need to carry this anymore.

You are free.

See them slowly setting it down.

See their body becoming lighter.

See their shoulders relaxing.

And see the relief washing over their face.

Now imagine a soft breeze moving through the space.

See the objects that they were carrying being lifted away.

Dissolving into the golden light.

See them standing taller,

Feeling lighter and more open.

Now gently place your hand over their heart and say,

You are not defined by your mistakes.

You are not defined by the past.

You are whole and innocent.

You are free.

See your inner child smiling for the first time.

See the tension and heaviness gone from their face.

Feel their heart opening.

Feel the golden light wrapping around both of you.

Now gather your inner child into your arms.

Let them feel steady.

Let them feel the steady rhythm of your heartbeat.

And whisper to them,

You are forgiven.

You are whole.

You are safe with me.

You are enough exactly as you are.

Now gently release the embrace and see your inner child standing before you.

Glowing with light and peace.

Now let them know,

You are not broken.

You are not to blame.

You are free to live a life of lightness and joy.

Now see your inner child beginning to merge with the golden light.

Not disappearing,

But becoming part of you.

Feel their strength,

Their freedom and their innocence returning to you.

Feel them anchoring in your heart.

Take a deep breath in.

And now slowly release it.

Feel the peace of knowing that you are not defined by the past.

Feel the strength of knowing you are forgiven.

You are free.

You are whole.

Now when you are ready,

Gently bring your awareness back into your body.

Feel the surface beneath you.

Feel the softness of your breath moving through your body.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Feel the warmth of your hands and feet.

And when you are ready,

You can slowly open your eyes.

And just sit for a moment with the feeling of lightness and peace within.

Bring in the knowing that you are no longer carrying the weight of shame and blame.

You are free from shame.

You are free from blame.

You are whole.

You are inner.
