This 10-minute practice guides you through the 4–7–8 breath — a rhythm proven to quiet the mind, soothe anxiety, release tension, and bring the body back into balance. Whether you need a midday reset, clarity before a busy task, or a moment of calm after a long day, this breathwork invites your whole system to slow, soften, and restore. Through simple counting and conscious breathing, you’ll ease the mind, unwind the body, and create space for clarity, calm, and emotional regulation. You’ll finish feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected — knowing that this sense of peace is something you can create anytime, anywhere, with your breath.

Welcome,

Take a gentle moment to pause and arrive.

This practice uses the 4,

7 and 8 breath technique,

A simple and soothing practice that helps calm the nervous system,

Reduce overwhelm,

Improve focus and create a sense of ease throughout the whole body.

Here's the rhythm we'll follow,

You'll inhale softly through the nose for a count of 4,

Allowing the breath to travel low into your belly,

Not forcing,

Just welcoming,

Then hold for a count of 7,

Letting the quiet stillness settle through you,

And then exhale slowly through the mouth for a count of 8,

Releasing the breath like a soft sigh,

Letting tension fall away,

Breath by breath.

If this count feels long,

Simply keep the same ratio with shorter numbers,

Comfort always comes first.

This is your space to rest,

To reset,

To unwind and to reconnect with yourself.

Ok,

Let's begin.

Inhale through your nose,

Hold,

Exhale through your mouth,

Inhale,

Hold,

Let your breath loosen anything in your body that feels tight,

Exhale,

With each exhale the body softens a little more,

Inhale,

Let your breath guide you home,

Hold,

Exhale,

Now allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm,

No counting,

No control,

Just breathing as your body naturally wishes to breathe,

Take a moment to sit with the stillness you've created,

Savour the calm that lives in your body now,

Notice the way your mind feels clearer,

Your body more at ease,

Remember this state wasn't given to you,

You created it with your breath,

Your presence,

Your intention,

And you can return to it at any time you choose simply by repeating this practice,

Just a few mindful breaths and you're back here,

Grounded,

Steady and restored,

Namaste.

I really like this Track, Christian. As with your others, I like that you give short, simple instructions and then we’re straight into the practice. I wasn’t sure at first about the ‘voice over’ words of wisdom and encouragement but once I found I could contemplate your words without taking my attention away from my breath, I really enjoyed the experience. Another one saved to my ‘Breathwork’ Folder. 🙏🏽
