Welcome,

This meditation is for my dears that have a Vata constitution.

There are moments in life when I feel anxious,

Nervous,

A bit out of control.

This might show up as anxiety,

Overwhelm,

Even forgetfulness.

I know this is my Vata out of balance.

This might be caused by a shift in the weather,

My diet choices,

Or change in my schedule.

In these moments,

Grounding is the remedy.

And so I lead you through a breath practice.

Breathe deeply,

Breathe gently and slowly.

Draw your breath in through your nose and back out through your nose.

With each exhale,

Allow your body to soften,

To settle down a bit deeper upon the surface beneath you.

Allow your shoulders to relax down away from your ears with each exhale.

Soften your jaw,

Relax your belly.

Notice your hands.

Notice what they're resting on,

Maybe next to you or on your lap.

Take a moment to feel what they are touching.

Allow your body to relax a bit deeper onto that surface holding you.

Imagine that this surface holding you is the earth.

It is Mother Gaia herself holding you in her arms.

Relax your body into this embrace.

Sink deeper into the arms of Mother Gaia.

Allow your entire body to soften.

Allow your nervous system to calm.

Relax into this embrace.

Give yourself permission to be held.

You are totally relaxed now,

Being held by Mother Gaia.

Feel your connection to the earth.

Allow yourself to sigh out,

Relaxing the body a bit deeper.

You may rest here as long that is needed for you to feel totally relaxed.

You may come back as many times as you need to allow the body to soften,

To allow your nervous system to release and let go.

Namaste.
