This guided meditation helps release stress and anxiety by gently guiding the nervous system back into a state of safety and balance. As you follow the verbal guidance, attention is brought into the body through small natural movements that encourage stored tension to soften and physical activation to settle. The practice supports grounding, body awareness, and the gradual release of accumulated emotional pressure. The experience leads you into a calm internal state where breathing slows, muscles relax, and mental activity becomes quieter. As relaxation deepens, visualization supports the transformation of heavy thoughts and emotions into feelings of peace, confidence, and inner stability. For best results, the meditation is practiced seated with the spine naturally upright and feet resting on the floor to support the gentle movement sequence and body awareness.

Welcome to this meditation to release stress and anxiety.

Often,

We experience stress and anxiety because,

At a very basic level,

Our nervous system is always scanning for danger or uncertainty.

When it senses a possible threat,

Whether real or imagined,

It activates a survival response.

Hormones like adrenaline and cortisol are released into the body to help you react quickly.

This response is helpful when you need to avoid harm,

Meet a deadline,

Or handle an emergency.

The challenge begins when this response stays active for too long,

Even when it is not really needed,

And you may feel constantly on alert.

Stress and anxiety can show up as palpitations,

Sweating,

Tension in the body,

Difficulty in sleeping,

Or a sense of not being able to switch off the mind.

This meditation will gently train your nervous system to feel safe again.

You can repeat it as often as you like,

And with regular practice,

You may begin to notice real changes in how you feel.

Now,

Find a comfortable position.

Sitting is ideal,

With your spine naturally upright.

If that feels uncomfortable,

Allow yourself to use support,

Such as a wall,

A couch,

Or pillows behind your back.

Make sure you will not be disturbed for the next few minutes and that there are no distractions around you.

Once you are settled,

Take a deep breath in and gently close your eyes.

This is a special moment.

You are taking time for yourself.

You are taking care of yourself.

And this moment is a beautiful act of self-love.

So allow yourself to feel grateful for this moment.

If distracting thoughts arise,

Imagine you have a bag beside you,

And gently place those thoughts into the bag,

Knowing that you can return to them later,

At the end of the session.

And now,

We will begin an exercise to help the nervous system reset.

Now,

Bring your attention to the body.

We will move gently through different areas,

Using small,

Natural movements.

There is no right or wrong way.

Move only as much as feels comfortable for you.

So,

Bring your attention to your feet.

Slowly stretch the feet,

Pointing the toes away from you.

Then,

Gently draw the toes back toward you.

Move slowly,

Feeling the stretch and the release.

You bring your attention to the calves.

Begin to gently rotate the ankles,

Making small circles.

You may move in one direction,

Then the other.

And you let the calves loosen naturally.

Now,

Bring your attention to the thighs.

And you begin to gently rock or lull the thighs from side to side.

Very small and gentle movements.

Allow the muscles to soften as you move.

Now,

You bring your attention to the hips and the pelvis.

Gently sway the hips from side to side.

Let the movement be slow and easy.

Slowly,

Your attention starts moving up to the body and goes to the belly.

You may notice here how it moves naturally with the breath.

There is nothing you need to do or change here.

Just notice how the belly moves naturally with the breath.

Your attention now moves higher up to the chest and upper back.

Gently open the chest as you inhale.

And allow it to soften as you exhale.

Shift your attention now very softly.

And let any tension move out through the fingers.

Now,

Bring your attention to the shoulders.

Slowly,

Roll the shoulders in small circles in one direction and then the other.

As you shift your attention to the neck,

You gently move the head from side to side.

Very small movements.

You just let the neck stay soft.

Bring your attention to the jaw.

And gently move it side to side.

And then allow it to rest.

Finally,

Bring your attention to the eyes and the forehead.

Gently squeeze the eyes closed for a moment.

Then release and soften.

Now,

Allow the body to become still.

Notice how it feels after gently moving.

More open.

More settled.

Rest here for a few moments.

Enjoy this state of peace and lightness.

You feel safe.

And you may even notice your breath slowing down.

Your nervous system feels calm and at ease.

And from this place of ease in the body,

Allow the mind to soften.

And as you rest in this feeling,

Imagine yourself in a beautiful living room.

There is a cozy fireplace and comfortable couches.

Take a moment to notice the space,

The colors,

The textures,

The warm,

Gentle light.

This place feels calm and welcoming.

You notice that there is a fireplace.

And as you notice the fireplace,

You notice that the fire is made of violet flames.

These violet flames gently burn away all the stress and anxiety that have been affecting you.

Stand in front of the fireplace and place your hands near the flames,

As if warming them.

Feel the warmth.

And notice any heaviness within you being drawn towards the violet flames,

The stress,

The anxiety,

The negative thoughts,

The anxiety,

You may just sense all of these feelings,

These sensations moving towards the violet flames.

And the flames are absorbing everything.

And as they absorb them,

They transform them into peace,

Love,

Safety,

Fulfillment,

And confidence.

Allow the flames to do their work and take your time here.

Now,

As the heavy energies have been transformed,

The violet flame creates a soft,

Gentle bubble.

This bubble becomes a blanket that lovingly moves towards you and surrounds your entire body.

And as this violet blanket wraps around you,

Feel the peace,

Feel the love,

Feel the safety,

Feel the fulfillment,

Feel the confidence.

Now,

Rest here for a few moments,

Knowing that you can return to this place and this feeling whenever you need it.

Now,

We will slowly bring the awareness back to the physical body.

Begin to feel lighter,

More energized.

Gently move your toes,

Your fingers.

Slowly move your neck.

Give yourself a full and nice body stretch.

And then you take a deep breath in.

And as you inhale,

You bring your awareness fully back into your physical body.

And one more deep breath in,

Inhaling.

Rise whenever you feel ready.

Thank you for joining me in this meditation.

I'm sending you lots of love.
