This guided somatic visualisation is for anyone who feels disconnected from their body, sensuality, or deeper emotional self. You’ll be gently guided to meet hidden or suppressed parts of yourself with curiosity rather than shame, allowing sensation, emotion, and self-acceptance to unfold naturally. This is a slow, intimate space for reconnection, self-trust, and emotional integration; ideal for those exploring shadow work, emotional depth, and authentic connection to self. Inspired by shadow integration in Jungian psychology, this is not just a meditation — it is an alchemical ritual for inner transformation.

Welcome.

This is a space for you to return to yourself.

Not the one who smiles politely and tries to fit in,

But to your real self who lives beneath all that.

Raw.

Honest.

And whole.

So let yourself settle.

Not in the posture that you think you should take,

But the one your body craves.

Let it guide you.

Close your eyes so you can feel more deeply.

Let your limbs soften.

Feel yourself sinking,

Letting go.

Now take a deep breath and notice how it feels.

The sensation on your skin as it enters your nose.

The gentle lift of your ribs as it fills your lungs.

The soft sigh of your exhale as it escapes your lips.

Can you relinquish control of the breath?

Can you just observe as it flows in and out without trying to change it or guide it?

Can you be soft and yielding and allow yourself to be breathed?

Notice the motions of your body.

Even in the stillness and silence,

You ebb and flow like a wave.

Rising.

Floating.

Melting away.

Slowly spreading like water.

Bring your awareness to the edges of your skin.

Notice where the air caresses you.

Where the fabric brushes against your body.

Scan yourself and look for areas of warmth.

Pressure.

Moisture.

Tension.

Tingling.

Even electricity.

Start at the tips of your fingers.

Tracing your attention slowly up your arms.

Over your shoulders.

Up the back of your neck.

Over your scalp.

Down your forehead.

Your eyes.

Your cheeks.

Your lips.

Your chin and jaw.

Your throat.

Your chest.

Your ribs and belly.

Your hips.

Your thighs.

Your lower legs.

Your hips.

Your feet.

And feel the tip of each and every toe.

Let yourself be engulfed by the sensations.

Be present with all that is in your body right now.

Now let's go deeper.

There's a door inside you.

It's been closed for a long time.

Behind it are the parts of you that were too much for the world.

Too loud.

Too honest.

Too needy.

Too sensual.

Too strange.

Right now,

You open that door.

Leave behind your fear and judgment.

Take only curiosity.

You step into the darkness and you open your senses.

The air is thick.

Velvet.

Alive.

You're not here to fix anything.

You are here to explore.

You watch with heavy breath.

Let yourself see what you see.

A memory.

A longing.

A rage.

A desire.

A part of yourself that you exiled long ago.

Can you name it?

Can you understand it?

Can you be with it?

You are standing in your shadow.

And this shadow is a part of you.

Even when you run and even when you hide from it.

Because even from this darkness,

From this exile,

It shapes you and guides your actions.

So,

Let it see the light.

Let it sit beside you and hold your hand.

Let it unfurl and flow across the floor.

Let it press against your skin and sink into your pores.

Let it whisper in your ear.

Let yourself be that shadow.

Let it fill you.

Allow your breath to deepen and slow.

And notice now,

Once again,

How your body feels.

Scan yourself from head to toe.

And look for areas of tension.

Of tightness.

Of heaviness.

And allow ease.

Into your jaw.

Your shoulders and arms.

Your hands.

Let them melt.

Allow your chest to lighten.

Allow your belly to soften and release.

Let your body lift and float with every inhale.

Let yourself sink and melt with every exhale.

Here,

In this darkness,

Let yourself see that you are already the perfect version of yourself.

Your darkness is you,

Just as much as your light.

That's what it means to be whole.

It means that you sit with your discomfort and shame and so-called imperfections.

And you offer them your presence and your acceptance.

And in doing so,

You transmute them into resilience.

Into power.

Into pleasure.

So bring a hand to your chest or your belly or somewhere that feels tender,

Warm,

Alive.

And whisper to yourself.

I allow what has been hidden.

I accept what I once pushed away.

I am present.

And I am whole.

Say it again,

If you like.

As a promise to yourself.

Stay here a moment longer with this feeling.

And with each breath,

Become a little more you.

And now,

Begin to return.

Away from the darkness.

And back to feeling the air on your skin.

The weight beneath you.

The rhythm of your breath.

You can stretch.

Or sigh.

Or wiggle.

Or simply rest.

This version of you.

The one that feels deeply.

The one that knows truth.

The one that doesn't need to perform.

This you is not gone.

This you is always right here.

And you can come back to it any time you want.
