In this practice I'm going to guide you through a gentle lion's breath.
This is a beautiful technique to bring some tension release into the jaw and the pelvic floor.
These two areas of the body are directly connected when it comes to tension and when you can soften and open one the other will follow.
The gentle lion's breath is an inhale through the nose and a wide mouth exhale.
If you want to bring some extra intention to that pelvic floor to relax it a little bit more,
As you inhale through the nose notice how you can lengthen and apply some gentle pressure down below.
As you exhale try to maintain that gentle pressure and just let that breath go.
I invite you to take a seat where your spine can lengthen and your feet can connect to the floor beneath you.
Noticing how you want to call in your energy for today's practice.
Maybe you want to connect to that root and stability of the earth beneath you,
Opening up in that space,
In that pelvic floor.
Perhaps you want to bring the awareness to the throat,
Where that breath moves through,
Where you can feel that air in the back of the throat as you exhale.
Calling in your energy,
Dropping the shoulders and when you're ready let's begin the gentle lion's breath together.
Your own time,
Gently releasing that breath,
Coming back into the body and preparing to return back to your day ahead.
