Take a moment now to find a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down.

Allow your hands to rest loosely and gently close your eyes.

Begin by bringing your attention to your breath.

No need to change it just yet.

Simply notice it flowing in and out of your body like a wave gently washing the shore.

Now inhale slowly and deeply through your nose.

Let your belly rise and exhale softly through your mouth.

Letting go of tension,

Stress or tightness.

With each breath invite more calm in and let go of anything you no longer need.

Now bring your attention to your heart.

Picture it gently beating,

Steady and strong.

Now imagine a gold,

Warm light surrounding it.

This light is calm,

Healing and safe.

As you continue to breathe slowly,

Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a quiet river.

It's early morning.

The air is cool,

Fresh and gentle on your skin.

You hear birds in the trees,

The soft rustling of leaves in the breeze and the slow,

Steady movement of water.

The river is peaceful,

A place just for you.

As you step closer to the water,

You feel your shoulders begin to loosen.

Your hands unclench,

Your breath deepens.

Now imagine the river is flowing with a soft,

Silvery blue light.

This light carries healing,

Calm and balance.

With each inhale,

Imagine you're breathing in this light.

And as you exhale,

It travels through your body,

Flowing through your chest,

Down your arms,

Into your belly and legs,

All the way to your toes.

This silvery blue light is easing pressure.

Relaxing vessels,

Softening tension,

Allowing your whole system to recalibrate.

Naturally and gently.

Now imagine that the river flows not only around you,

But also through you.

Washing away stress,

Clearing any tightness in your chest.

Easing the rhythm of your heartbeat.

Soothing your mind.

Let yourself rest here for a while.

Enjoying this stillness.

This feeling of safety.

Of deep,

Inner peace.

Now gently bring your awareness back to your body.

Notice the surface you're resting on.

Feel your breath moving through you.

Feel how your body is calmer,

Heavier,

More grounded.

And know that you can return to this place at any time.

The river is always there,

Waiting for you.

Ready to restore and soothe.

And when you're ready,

Start moving your fingers and toes.

Gently open your eyes and take a moment to notice how you feel.

You have given yourself permission to rest,

To heal,

To return to balance.
