Hello,
This is Satine Starr,
Here to guide you through a grounded meditation.
This meditation will help you when you're anxious,
Feeling overwhelmed,
Or if you're spinning,
And you just need to ground.
This meditation is meant to bring you back to earth,
Back to your body,
And back to the now.
I'd like you to stand with your feet hip-width apart,
Or if you're more comfortable,
You can sit with your feet planted firmly on the ground.
Now,
I want you to bring all of your awareness to your feet.
Feel them pressing into the floor.
Feel the bottom of your soles,
And the pressure between them and the ground.
Notice the weight distribution.
Notice the balls in the bottom of your feet.
Notice your position.
Are you leaning forward?
Are you leaning backwards?
At this time,
I want you to really focus on centering yourself.
Now,
I want you to imagine vines,
Beautiful rose vines,
Growing from the soles of your feet,
Deep into the ground,
Forming with the earth,
And driving themselves miles deep into the earth's crust.
Now,
These roots of your roses are anchoring you.
No matter what's happening around you,
You are now rooted.
You are now stable.
These vines are symbolizing your connection to the earth,
And remind you that you are always grounded.
Now,
I want you to take a moment and bring awareness to your body.
You are here in this body,
In this moment.
Feel your breath rising in your chest and falling when you exhale.
Feel the beating of your tender,
Kind,
Loving heart.
Feel the weight of your bones throughout your body.
You are not your thoughts.
You are not your worries.
You are this body,
This breath,
This present moment.
Now,
I want you to become familiar with your senses to help you ground even deeper.
I want you to take a moment and name five things that you can currently see.
Next,
I want you to name four things that you can physically touch.
Now,
I want you to name three things you can hear.
Now,
I want you to name two things that you can currently smell.
And lastly,
I want you to name one thing you can taste.
You are here.
You are now.
And you are grounded.
Now,
I want you to take a final deep breath and carry this groundedness with you.
Whenever you're feeling out of place,
Out of touch,
You can return to this place where we are right now.
And this meditation will always be here for you when you need it.
