Sleep Meditation Into The Infinite
by Sofia Luna
Turn off your mind. Thank your body. Thank the people you interacted with in your day. Arrive to the present moment and drift off to a night of perfect sleep. This meditation came to me one day as I was falling asleep, found it very soothing and magical so decided to share it. Enjoy :)

Hi everyone.
This is a closing exercise meditation for anyone,
Everyone looking to end their day with a thank you,
With gratitude for being alive and for being given another day to be on this beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful planet with your beautiful friends and family and people who love you.
And the first thing that I'm going to invite you all to do is to take a deep breath in and exhale a bit longer than the inhale.
And we're going to do this three times to kind of arrive to this moment and acknowledge that the day is over.
We can tell our mind to go to sleep.
She's done enough for us today.
We can thank her for her amazing work and watch as she slowly fades away like a radio that is slowly being taken away from you.
Separating in space.
After we put our minds to bed to sleep for the great,
Amazing job they've done,
We're going to thank our bodies for taking us around today and for doing so much for us without us even realizing and noticing.
Thank you body for being amazing,
For being healthy,
For being beautiful,
For being warm,
For being comfortable,
For being my home,
For being the place I inhabit,
For being the home I was given to live in for this lifetime.
And now we're going to go back to the beginning of the day and we're going to remember how we woke up.
The hopes and thoughts and just the fact that we woke up and the fact that we made it through the night.
Any dreams that we could have had and any person that we saw today,
We're going to send them love and we're going to thank them because every interaction that we have makes us the people that we are and we're going to send love and gratitude and we're going to wish them a good night as well.
To all of the people that we interacted with today,
No matter how pleasant or unpleasant the interaction was,
It was and that's enough for us to thank them because our interaction with them reminded us that we are human,
That we are nothing but human.
If it was a really positive interaction,
It made us be grateful for being human and if it was a more negative interaction,
It reminded us of how humbling it is to be human.
And I think that's one of the most beautiful things that we can experience is that capacity to oscillate and move from one place to another in a matter of hours or in a matter of just changing the person that you're speaking to.
So we're just going to take a moment to acknowledge that and acknowledge the ephemeral nature of all interactions and everything and every moment in general,
How fast it all moves,
How fast today moved.
And as I'm saying this,
I'm imagining those cartoon animations of like a small calendar,
A small daily calendar whose pages are ripping away as by magic with the help of the wind.
This is how life goes by and it's up to us to make every day worth living.
And when I say that,
I don't mean doing extraordinary things,
I mean appreciating the mundanity and the power in the details and the power in the smallest interactions that we have that are usually what give us the most happiness.
And if you felt excited today about anything,
I want you to hold that feeling and bring it back to you in this moment,
Bring back that excitement.
And I want you to sit with it for a moment and hug it and hold it because that means that you were aligned with that experience that you were about to witness and that means that you were looking at it in the right way because you had enthusiasm.
It made you feel enthusiastic about being alive and as a very wise scientist once told me,
Enthusiasm is carrying God inside of you.
So for all the moments that you experienced enthusiasm or excitement today,
I want you to hold that and put it in your pocket of memories.
Not even the act of the event itself,
Just that version of you being genuinely,
Authentically excited that is your inner child blossoming.
And if you didn't feel excited about anything today,
That's completely acceptable and normal.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You can be excited about breakfast tomorrow.
You can be excited to see the person that lives with you tomorrow or the person that helps you do something throughout your day,
Someone that you know you're going to see.
You can be excited to see them because they're alive and they made it as well.
You can have the pleasure of interacting with them one more time.
One more time.
If your day was not worth excitement or enthusiasm and you had a bit of a darker day,
Then I want to just hold you here and if I was there I would give you a hug and I would thank you for still being here and making it through.
And trusting that everything is going to be okay because it will.
It always is.
It always solves or desolves itself.
We're going to put all of those less pleasant moments into a little ocean that we have in our minds,
Into an infinite ocean.
We're going to take a deep breath in right now and as we exhale we're going to imagine these little negative or less pleasant moments drowning and dissolving into the water.
And this is how you're going to move on and you're going to let go of this so this doesn't get trapped in your nervous system or in your energetic field.
We can thank it as we exhale and we can bless it and thank it for what it showed us and teached us.
Take a little inhale in.
And as you exhale you're going to thank that moment,
That person,
Bless it,
Thank it for its teachings and let it go.
And if you want to help yourself with a bit of movement in your hands,
Doing a gesture of letting go,
Rubbing your fingers against your thumb and opening your hand as if you were letting a dove fly away.
Imagine she's carrying away these unpleasant feelings and emotions and people and interactions.
You're not them.
They don't belong to you.
They don't define you.
They don't make you.
You're still here.
I'm still here.
I guess the place where I want to take you to right now is here.
Here with me.
Hello person from the present.
Hello present me.
That's where I want to bring you to right now.
I want you to arrive to this particular second here.
To every second my voice is touching.
I want you to really listen,
To really feel your body right now.
Feel whatever is touching you,
Whatever is underneath you.
Acknowledge your body,
Acknowledge that you're alive,
That you made it.
Thank yourself in this instant for still being here and for the work that you've done in this small exercise.
Recognize and acknowledge the fact that you're going to go to bed with a lighter psyche.
Acknowledge and receive the fact that you're going to go to bed and have beautiful dreams and deep healing sleep.
Acknowledge yourself and remember what you looked like today.
Hold this image of yourself with regard and respect and love.
Because this is the body and image that you're given right now.
If you want to change it,
Go for it.
But in this moment we're just going to thank it.
We're going to thank it for what it did for us today.
And if you want to do a little caress gesture,
It can be small,
It can be just of your thumb against the inner side of your index finger.
Or you can just do a little rub against a bit of your skin.
And just treat yourself with love and tenderness and see how that feels for your body and how your mind receives that.
We're not always aware of the way we treat ourselves and I think this is a really good exercise to remind ourselves of how delicate we can be and actually how soft we can arrive to treat ourselves if we want to.
If we pause for a moment and just be in this space that we are provided.
This space and time with this wonderful vehicle,
Magical,
Infinite vehicle that we've been given.
In a magical,
Infinite,
Arena,
Environment,
Planet,
World to experience that.
I guess the note that we can leave this on is if you have a magical vehicle and you're in a magical world and what happens when you multiply something to the infinite by something to the infinite.
That is kind of what your existence on this planet is.
You can do anything you want,
You can be anything you want,
As long as you know what it is that you want.
You can be anything you want,
You can love anything you want,
You can be loved by anyone you want.
You can do anything you wish.
You literally have infinite possibilities and it is up to you to choose what you want.
With that said,
I now will leave you to drift off to the dream world,
Which is another fascinatingly infinite place for us to work on ourselves and practice and become and try and expand,
And fail and retract and die and be born again and see things over and over and see new things that we never see ever.
Thank you for doing this practice with me.
I hope you are grateful for your day.
I hope you are happy to be alive.
If you are,
Then I did my job.
Good night.
And if we don't see each other again,
I wish you a fantastic life ahead.
