Welcome to this chakra balancing and healing meditation.

This meditation can assist you bring balance and healing energy not just into your main energy centers,

Your chakras,

But also your physical body,

Your mental emotional body and your prana body.

Before we start,

I invite you to find a comfortable place where you know you will be undisturbed for the next 20 minutes.

If you're listening to this recording on your phone,

Turn your phone to silent,

Or if you're listening to this on a different device,

Maybe turn your phone off altogether and sit as comfortably as you can.

Know that whenever you feel the need during this meditation,

You can move and adjust.

It is important that your body is relaxed and comfortable in order to absorb the healing energies as deeply as possible.

Take a deep breath in and with your exhalation,

Begin bringing your awareness to your body.

Notice where your body connects to your support and where your body might hold tension or feel a little tight.

Can you release the tension gently through long and slow exhalations?

See if you can allow your back soften a little more,

Releasing your shoulders and softening in your arms.

Bring your awareness to your hips,

Take a deep breath in and with your exhalation,

Allow your hips soften a little more,

Letting go in your legs and in your feet.

For a moment,

Bring your awareness to your breath.

Gently notice the natural ebb and flow of your breath,

Resting your awareness here for a few moments.

There's no need to direct the breath in any way.

The seven main chakras are the seven main energy centers that we hold in our energetic body.

Just like our physical body has a physiology,

Our energy body does too and the chakras are part of our energetic physiology,

With each chakra having different functions and attributes and as such they have an influence on our overall well-being,

Emotionally,

Mentally as well as physically.

This meditation can assist you bring balance into your chakras and therefore enhance your entire well-being.

It is a very effective self-healing technique and can simply help you to reconnect with yourself when you feel the need to take some time out.

I invite you now to bring your awareness to the base of your spine,

The location of your root chakra,

Muladhara.

As the name says,

This first chakra represents our roots,

How we are grounded and connected firmly into life on this plane on earth.

When our root chakra is balanced,

We feel stable physically,

Emotionally and mentally.

We feel safe and secure and we are well grounded.

When this chakra is unbalanced,

It can manifest as fear and scattered mental energy.

Imagine at the base of your spine a beautiful lotus flower.

The pettits of this flower are still closed and as you rest your awareness here on the flower at the base of your spine,

The pettits gently open wide across the base of your spine,

Bending past your torso into all directions.

Now gently move your awareness up to the space beneath your navel.

This is where your sacred chakra,

Svadhisthana,

Is located.

This sacred chakra holds our creative energy and when this chakra is well balanced,

Our creative energies are likewise well balanced.

Imagine in your sacred chakra another beautiful lotus flower with its pettits still closed.

And as you rest your awareness here and extend your breath into the sacred chakra,

The flower slowly opens its pettits wide across the entire torso beneath your navel.

Slowly move your awareness further up into your solar plexus area.

This is your third chakra,

Manipura.

This chakra is often depicted in the colour yellow and it is the seat of our personal power.

When this chakra is balanced,

We have a healthy sense of self-esteem and willpower.

When it is unbalanced,

We might have issues with willpower and even abuse our personal power by manipulating others.

Imagine now in your solar plexus area a beautiful lotus flower still closed and as you take a deep breath in,

Feeling your solar plexus area,

The lotus opens its pettits,

Extending them across your torso into all directions.

Slowly move your awareness into your heart centre.

This is where Anahata is located,

Our heart chakra.

The heart chakra is the seat of unconditional love.

Imagine in the centre of your heart a beautiful lotus flower still closed and as you take a deep breath into your heart centre,

The pettits slowly open,

Extending across your entire heart and beyond into all directions.

Begin moving your awareness further up into the throat.

This is where Vishuddha,

The throat chakra,

Is situated.

Vishuddhi in Sanskrit means purification.

And when the throat chakra is perfectly pure and cleansed,

We can easily and effortlessly allow our higher energies flow through us and anchor into our physical body.

When Vishuddha,

The throat chakra,

Is balanced,

We are able to express our truth clearly and effectively and communicate with pure intention and clarity.

Imagine in your throat chakra a beautiful lotus flower and as you rest your awareness here on this flower,

Taking a deep breath in,

The pettits slowly open,

Extending across your entire throat chakra and beyond.

Now gently move your awareness up to the space between your eyebrows,

The seat of your third eye.

This chakra represents intuition and foresight.

When the third eye is imbalanced,

We might lack clarity and vision in our life.

When it is balanced,

We are also able to detect truth.

Likewise we are able to see through deception and lies.

Imagine in your third eye another beautiful lotus flower.

As you rest your awareness here,

Taking a deep breath in,

The pettits open and extend across your entire forehead and into the centre of your head.

Your forehead feels comfortably cool and relaxed.

Lastly begin to move your awareness to the space just above the crown of your head.

Here is your crown chakra,

Sahasrara.

The crown chakra is said to have a thousand pettit wide lotus.

It represents our connection to the divine and when balanced,

We can easily access higher states of consciousness in a well balanced and integrated way.

Imagine just above the crown of your head a beautiful wide thousand pettit lotus.

As you take a deep breath in here and extend the energy of your breath into the crown of your head,

The lotus flower opens its thousand pettits,

Extending across your head and beyond.

Now that all of your chakras are open,

Keep resting your awareness above the crown of your head and visualise a transcendently beautiful white light.

This white light holds balancing and healing energies and you are now welcome to invite this light to pour into your body through your open crown chakra.

The light flows gently down through your third eye chakra,

Into your throat chakra.

It pours further down into your heart and into the open lotus flower of your solar plexus chakra.

Flowing gently further down into your sacred chakra just beneath your navel and finally all the way down into your root chakra.

Each of your chakras is now filled with this beautiful transcendently pure white light.

And from here you may invite this healing and balancing white light to extend and flow through your entire physical body,

Allowing it to flow into your arms and legs.

And you may wish to invite this light to move into any particular part of your body where you might feel tension or even pain or any other discomfort.

May invite it into any part of your body where you might hold an imbalance and maybe an illness.

Allow this white light to fill these areas of your body fully and completely,

Allowing it to move deep into the cell tissue and wherever the light touches your physical body it brings release and healing.

You are now invited to extend this light further into your mental and emotional body simply by bringing your awareness to any thoughts,

Any emotions that may recur in your everyday life,

That may be of a negative nature,

That may influence you in a way that's not beneficial for you.

Any concerns or worries that you hold.

Any mental or emotional patterns that you wish to release and transform.

If you like,

Just invite these patterns,

These thoughts or emotions rise up,

Like bobbeds rise up in a glass of sparkling water,

Coming to the surface,

Bringing them into your awareness and allowing the white healing balancing light to permeate these thoughts,

These emotions,

Dissolving them effortlessly and easily.

And now I invite you to slowly bring your awareness back to each chakra in turn,

Enclosing the lotus flowers one by one,

Starting at the crown of your head,

The crown chakra.

Gently slowly close the thousand-patterned lotus,

Moving your awareness into your third eye chakra,

Closing the lotus in your third eye.

Gently move your awareness into your throat chakra and allow the lotus in your throat chakra close softly,

Moving your awareness into your heart chakra.

As you slowly close the patterns,

Leave this lotus slightly open,

Gently moving your awareness further down into your solar plexus area and closing the lotus in your Manipura chakra.

Move your awareness down into your sacred chakra,

Close the patterns of the lotus in your sacred chakra.

Finally move your awareness into your root chakra at the base of your spine,

Closing the lotus flower here.

Keeping your eyes closed,

Just rest here for a few moments with your awareness on your body and breath,

Just noticing again where your body connects to your support.

If you like,

Begin to gently move fingers and toes and maybe turn your head from side to side.

You can repeat this meditation whenever you feel the need and wish to give yourself healing and balancing.

When you're ready here,

You can open your eyes.
