Welcome,

Beloved,

To this guided meditation.

Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position,

Lying down or seated,

Ensuring that your spine is straight and your body is relaxed.

When you are ready,

Close your eyes and allow yourself to arrive in this present moment.

I invite you to take a deep breath in through the nose,

Filling up your body with as much air as possible,

And gently exhale,

Letting go of any tension or stress.

This practice is meant to connect you with your breath,

And so take a few moments to breathe in this way,

Deeply inhaling and gently exhaling.

And when you're ready,

Releasing control of the breath and just allowing yourself to be breathed.

In this practice,

We're not going to take any breaths.

We're going to receive.

The point of this practice is to rest your awareness on the natural inhalation and the natural exhalation.

Breathe,

Not allowing your mind to shift into conversation or activity,

But simply resting on each inhale and each exhale.

Notice as the air enters your nostrils and feel the cool sensation as it touches the inside of your nose and moves to the back of your throat.

Continue to follow the breath as it travels down into your lungs and feel the deepest part of your lungs filling with air,

Expanding the belly,

Opening the chest,

And slightly rising the shoulders as you complete the inhale.

Observe the stillness at the top of your breath before the exhale begins and follow the breath as it leaves your body,

Feeling the gentle contraction of your belly,

Chest,

And shoulders as the spirit of life releases itself into the ethers.

Notice the warmth of the breath as it exits through your body.

Allow yourself to simply observe the natural rhythm of your breath.

There's no need to change it or manipulate it.

There's no need to force breath into your body.

Just be aware as life breathes you.

Now we'll take a few moments in the silence to fully immerse ourselves in this beautiful observation of breath.

Remember you're not forcing anything.

You're allowing yourself to be breathed by God.

Notice if your mind has started to converse with itself and run away from the breath.

This is your opportunity to come back.

To this inhale and this exhale.

Notice how each breath fully felt connects you deeper to this present moment,

To your body and creates a longer lasting stillness of the mind.

Breathe.

Relaxing your mind and breathe.

How involved can you be in each and every sensation of the breath?

As we come to the end of this meditation,

Take a moment to appreciate the simplicity and power of your breath.

Know that this connection to your breath is always available to you.

Always an opportunity for greater awareness,

Greater presence,

Greater connection,

Greater peace.

And when you're ready,

We're going to begin to bring our wellness back to the world around us.

There's no rush,

So take your time.

With calm and with ease,

Beginning to wiggle the fingers and the toes,

Bringing slight movement back into the body.

Taking the moment to stretch the body in any way that you need,

Opening the eyes and coming back to the beautiful world around you.

And it doesn't matter how it looks,

See it as beautiful.

As we prepare to bring this practice to a close,

Remember that you always have this breath as a connection to source,

To God,

To the fullness of life.

Thank you so much for showing up for yourself by showing up for your practice.

I look forward to another moment of practicing with you.

Carry this feeling throughout the rest of your day.

Love and blessings to you.
