Meditation can be overwhelming, considering the variety of meditation approaches and techniques available. But at the end of the day, Meditation is simply about experiencing your own aliveness and remembering who you really are. This simple daily practice meets you where you are. No agenda, other than just experiencing the profound aliveness within yourself. It is ideal for beginners or anyone looking to deepen their practice. It will help you uncomplicate your practice and build consistency by savoring your own consciousness — and in turn, deepens the way you experience your daily life. Start your day grounded in the truth of who you really which is beyond words.

Hey there,

Friend.

My name is Anthony,

And welcome to Uncomplicating Meditation,

A short practice for both beginners or anyone struggling to meditate and having a deepening practice.

Or maybe you've been meditating for years and you feel like you've hit a wall with your practice,

And at times you can feel like you are searching for a deeper experience.

When our meditation practice,

Or life in general,

Becomes a struggle or gets complicated,

The antidote might just be to simplify,

To bring things back to basics.

So if you're struggling to meditate,

Facing resistance,

Or when life feels complicated,

We can shift our experience,

Whether on the cushion or off the cushion,

Just by focusing on simply being alive and savoring that experience.

Like any other habit you are struggling with,

We can lower the bar and make things more accessible for ourselves in our meditation practice.

We can allow meditation to meet us where we're at,

And we can do that with short daily sessions that are just designed to be with yourself,

Without any real agenda,

Other than experiencing your own aliveness.

And this is the only thing you need to go about your day with clarity and peace,

And to have a deepening meditation practice.

In turn,

Hopefully it deepens the way you experience your daily life.

So in this short practice,

We are literally not going to do anything,

Other than just to be here now.

We are just going to sit together and focus on our experience of being alive.

So I'm not going to direct you explicitly in every moment during this session,

Because this is about creating the space to have your own unique experience.

The only thing you need to do during this practice is to be a living,

Breathing human being and see how acquainted you can become with what that feels like.

So let's explore what that is together.

Find a comfortable position,

Relax your body,

And close your eyes if that feels right.

And breathe deep a few times.

To slow down and anchor yourself wherever you are right now,

However that means for you,

In whatever way.

Your body knows how to do this.

It knows how to let go.

You can do this.

What does it feel like to be alive?

What does it feel like to be here now?

What is giving you life?

All that is happening right now is that you are having an experience of consciousness.

You're not doing anything.

You're just being.

And you can simply notice it.

You might even wonder where you are noticing it from.

If you are facing some resistance or getting distracted,

Wonderful.

You are indeed a human being.

You are alive.

But to ease any struggle or distraction,

You can lovingly coach yourself back to beingness,

Back to noticing.

You can try introducing a simple mantra,

Such as,

I am here now.

This is where I am.

This is all there is.

It's all happening now.

I am here now.

This is where I am.

This is all there is.

It's all happening now.

Gently repeat these words and see what that feels like.

I am here now.

This is where I am.

This is all there is.

It's all happening now.

This is your direct experience.

What's in it?

What's here?

What is experience itself?

What is aliveness?

What is aliveness?

That's truly a profound question.

How does it feel to repeat those mantras?

What does it feel like to get distracted,

And then notice you've drifted,

And then return to experiencing everything that is happening now?

You don't have to answer these questions in words or concepts.

Just be.

I'm going to give you some more space to explore.

Let's be here for a few minutes.

As a meditator,

You might see yourself as a beginner.

Or even if you've been meditating for many years,

At times you may experience your practice as a struggle.

But as a being,

As a life force,

You have a wealth of experience with this deeper part of yourself,

With who you really are.

And that's what meditation is truly all about.

It's about experiencing and remembering who and what you really are.

It's not an experience we could ever truly put into words.

But just by sitting in this silent observation with yourself,

Without any real agenda or goal,

Away from the noise of the outside world,

You deepen the connection with this part of yourself.

It's all you ever really need.

Just a simple reminder of what it means to be a human and remembering the truth of who you are.

Honor yourself for being here and taking the time today.

I honor you for sitting with me and sharing a little piece of your journey.

Great work.

Keep creating this space for yourself.

Keep loving who you are.

Much love.
