This visualization practice brings awareness to the eyes, skull, and brain and encourages you to 'see' internally. It releases strain and tension around the area of the structural head as well as the internal mind space and it uses imagery and metaphor to clear your internal vision.

Hi and welcome.

This is a practice very close to my own life,

To my own mind.

So I'd like you to just get comfortable and fully immerse yourself in this powerful insight.

Allow your attention to settle onto your breathing,

Allowing your breath to be soft and not forced,

Allowing your mind to settle,

Allow your body to settle down.

And allow yourself to become more and more present to what you're hearing and to your own experience.

When the stains from old habits are exhausted,

The original light appears,

Blazing through your skull,

Not admitting any other matters,

Vast and spacious,

Like sky and water merging during autumn,

Like snow and moon having the same color.

This field is without boundary,

Beyond direction,

Magnificently one entity without edge or seam.

Take a deep breath.

And then I'd like you to bring your awareness into the space behind your eyes,

Behind the bridge of your nose,

Towards the area of your midbrain,

The center of your head.

Allow your awareness to fully rest here.

Imagine the inside of your mind growing wide and luminous.

Imagine it growing soft and spacious.

Our mind is holding everything that hurt us,

Everything that's healed us.

It holds all experiences,

Consciously known and unknown.

It holds all trauma and all joy.

And it holds everything you will ever know and not know.

I'm just tuning into that for a moment.

Allow your attention to move deeper into your mind.

Allow your attention to move into a space so deep that you become completely absorbed,

Completely encompassed,

Swallowed.

Allow yourself to be swallowed whole within the space of your mind.

Allow everything to exist.

Allow everything to exist here.

You,

All parts of your shadow and all parts of your light.

Accept yourself for completely who you are and for everything that you are not.

Allow yourself to rest into a place of complete surrender,

Complete annihilation and acceptance.

Allow yourself to rest in a space of stillness and infinity.

Maybe you can sense or imagine or visualize or maybe you know it.

Allow a luminous light to transcend the space of your mind.

Allow it to shatter all illusion.

Allow it to free you from everything that is not yours.

Allow it to penetrate you completely.

Allow it to trickle and transcend into the deepest and the darkest corners of your mind.

Allow yourself to be fully absorbed by this luminous light.

Allow it to expand within your awareness.

Allow it to transcend and transpire into your entire being,

Filling you up to the extremities and beyond,

Filling you up from inside.

Allow yourself to drink in from this light,

Your own light expanding into infinite consciousness.

And when the stains from old habits are exhausted,

The original light appears,

Blazing through your skull,

Not admitting any other matters.

Vast and spacious like sky and water merging during autumn,

Like snow and moon having the same color.

This field is without boundary,

Beyond direction,

Magnificently one entity without edge or seam.

Let yourself settle into this understanding.

Allow this insight and this experience to become part of your waking consciousness.

And allow yourself to become embodied by it.

And then take a few moments to just gather yourself back in your human experience,

Allowing all your senses to come to light,

Connecting to the full expansion of your breath.

And when you're ready,

You can slowly close your practice and open your eyes.

Namaste.
