Welcome to this letting go practice.
I'm Abby and I'm so happy to be practicing with you today.
We're going to do a short intention setting practice with the focus on what you want to let go of today.
We will use our breath to support this practice.
Letting go is recognizing all of the heavy baggage we're holding on to and choosing to lighten the load.
You don't have to drop all of your bags at once,
But maybe there are some things in the bags that you're willing to let go of to make space.
There are many things you can let go of.
You can let go of limiting beliefs that you're aware of that hold you back.
You can let go of previous hurts or let go of anger or shame towards yourself or even just let go of something on your to-do list.
Letting go doesn't have to be a big practice.
You can just be choosing one small thing to let go of.
For this practice,
You can sit up tall or lie down,
Whatever feels comfortable for you.
Gently place your hands on your heart and feel your heartbeat and come up with an intention of what you want to let go of in this moment.
What are you ready to let go of?
Trust whatever comes to mind and then see if you can feel your breath move through your body as you breathe in and you breathe out.
With each breath in,
Allow yourself to be nourished by this breath.
As you breathe in,
You can breathe in oxygen,
Love,
Gratitude,
Nourishment.
As you exhale,
Let go of whatever you don't need right now.
Thoughts,
Stories,
That never-ending to-do list,
Carbon dioxide,
Breathing in this nourishing breath and breathing out whatever you don't need.
Breathing in this nourishing breath and breathing out letting go of whatever you don't need.
Breathing in nourishment and breathing out letting go.
Now take a few rounds at your own pace.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Notice how you feel.
As you go through your day,
Keep in mind that letting go is an active practice.
Each time you notice your exhale,
You can tap back into your intention of what you're working on letting go of for today.
Thank you for practicing with me.
