This is a somatic practice all about inviting your body to melt like honey.
So this is a beautiful practice if you're being met with any rigidity or tension and you're wanting to create more fluidity and softening in your body.
Throughout this practice there's freedom to move however feels right for you and I will invite you to explore the edges of how you can soften and deepen and to flow a bit more.
This is a practice that can be done with your eyes open or closed or in front of a mirror if you'd like to invite in more self-love and confidence while moving through this practice.
Start by finding a comfortable standing or an all fours position coming onto your hands and knees with your wrists aligned directly under your shoulders and your knees under your hips.
Starting by tuning into the breath slowly breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.
And again in through your nose.
As you breathe begin to imagine your body being made of warm supple honey.
Smooth golden and slowly melting.
Really notice what the feeling and qualities of honey are.
How can you bring those qualities into your body?
Feeling your body start to melt as you bring to mind this visualization.
Letting the ooey gooey weight of honey bring your body into a heavier state while still feeling the aliveness coursing through you.
And starting to gently sway and shift from side to side.
Slowly flowing from one area to the next.
Keeping the movement soft sensual connected.
Starting with a sway from your core.
Noticing your spine and hips.
Letting them all sway.
Together.
Connected.
And then inviting the movement to extend to your limbs.
Letting your arms and shoulders start to dance.
Letting your legs join in to the movement naturally.
And just inviting in different movement.
Inviting in that feeling of honey.
And as you begin moving notice where feels rigid or stiff.
Allowing those parts of your body to melt through small subtle movement.
Slowly gently like honey dripping on a warm day.
Adding in the breath without force.
And letting this desire to melt continue to move you.
As you continue moving inviting in more fluid interconnected movements.
Feeling the connection between the floor and your feet.
Between your legs and your hips.
Between your hips and your torso and your spine.
All the way up to your upper body.
Your arms.
Your chest.
To your head and neck.
Feeling how honey would connect it all.
Feeling your body moving in this state of deep connection.
Feeling the visual moving through you.
As you move and bend and twist in all directions.
Finding the edge of your body and your feet.
Finding the edge of your practice by noticing movements that might feel new for you.
And really going into those movements inviting them in.
Seeing if you can play on the edge of more fluidity with each movement.
Keeping the movements soft but continuous.
Taking a special moment for the spine.
Seeing how the spine wants to roll or twist.
Feeling the dance with the air around you.
Allowing each movement to blend into the next with a continuous stream of flowing honey.
Letting your body lead the way.
Letting your body explore.
Letting your body explore where it wants to go,
How it wants to move without any set form or expression.
Now seeing if you can make the movements even more slow,
More fluid.
How soft can your joints feel?
How supple can your body feel?
How much more rhythmic can your movements become?
Feeling so connected to every part of your body as you move.
Noticing the areas that feel the most fluid,
The most free.
And notice the areas that feel a little stuck.
Where in your body is it so natural to move in a fluid way?
And where in your body is a little bit more stagnant?
Just breathing into those areas where you're feeling stagnant and gently breaking up the energy through your movement.
Letting your breath sync with your movement,
With your flow.
And fully allowing yourself to immerse yourself in the honey.
If I were to fully embody honey,
How would I move?
And be in devotion to that.
Melting deeper with each movement.
And in time,
Bringing your movements to a more slow pace.
And eventually finding a gentle stop.
Allowing your body to come back to stillness once again.
And notice how you feel compared to when we began.
Do you feel a little softer?
A little more fluid?
A little more connected?
Take one last deep breath.
Take one last deep breath into all of these ooey gooey feelings.
Slowly opening your eyes if they were closed.
Or lifting your gaze.
And take a moment to honor yourself for being willing to invite this softness into your body today.
Knowing that you can take this with you into everything that you do.
How could I do it with more grace?
How could I do it with more fluidity?
More ease?
How could I be in less resistance?
And how could I live more like honey?
Www.
Mooji.
