
Yoga Nidra | Relaxing Into Deep Trust
This relaxing yoga nidra takes you on a grounding journey of rooting you in the present moment. By feeling the anchoring into your body in the here and now, we open into trusting the innate wisdom within that is able to guide you through any situation life presents you with. Feel trust in your own abilities, trust in your grounding, trust in the everchanging ways of life.

Welcome to this Yoga Nidra.
Welcome to this practice of deep rest.
This practice of connecting to the deeper layers of your being.
Let's start by getting comfortable.
So make sure to lay the body down in a position where you can find relaxation.
Keeping a little bit of space between the arms and the body,
Preferably having the palms of your hands facing upwards and keeping some space between both legs and making any adjustments needed to the positioning of your head,
Of the hips,
The shoulders to make yourself comfortable.
And if you found that beautiful spot,
Let's softly close our eyes.
Closing eyes is a first step in leaving the external world of doing and grasping to just be as we focus on our internal landscape more and more.
Opening to that space of undoing,
Of simply being,
Simply resting.
Let's take three breaths here to arrive together.
So let's take a full deep breath in through the nose.
Hold at the top of your inhale for a moment,
Feeling the energy rise and then exhale through your mouth with a sigh out.
Completely emptying out the lungs.
Now two more.
Let's inhale through the nose.
Hold at the top of your inhale and then exhale as you softly breathe out and relax the whole body while doing so.
Taking a full breath in through the nose once more.
Hold and as you exhale,
Feeling the whole body soften into deeper relaxation.
Letting your breath continue on its natural pace and letting these three first breaths signal to the mind that it is free to completely leave behind for now what you were doing before this or will do after this.
Continue to let that just glide off of you,
Trusting that the mind will still hold all information needed after this.
But for now,
For this upcoming practice,
You may allow your full energy to stay in this present moment.
Just flowing on the waves of what you experience within and without the body in this here and now.
There's no need to focus on anything other than that.
So feel your legs become heavy in that knowledge.
Feel your belly soften,
Your shoulders soften,
Knowing that you can be fully present with just that.
Just observing this moment,
Moment to moment.
Let's bring the full body into awareness now.
All the way from the top of your head,
All the way down to your toes.
Feeling the totality of your body.
Holding every cell in your presence.
Feel how the body relaxes and softens further into this gentle embrace of your full awareness.
Relaxing just by the simple act of becoming more deeply aware.
Notice the sense of safety within yourself that arises by just doing this.
Notice within this embrace the gentle movements of your breath.
There's no effort there.
There's no effort there.
There's no straining.
The beautiful dance of the rising and falling of your ever-present breath.
Fully present,
Deeply aware.
And with this same depth of presence,
We'll rotate awareness through the body.
So start by bringing awareness to the inside of the mouth.
Feeling the whole inside of the mouth.
Now feeling the inside of the right cheek,
Inside of the left cheek,
The lower teeth,
The upper teeth,
The upper teeth,
A tongue inside your mouth.
Now feeling both lips,
The lower lip,
The upper lip,
The whole nose,
The right nostril,
The left nostril,
And just the tip of the nose.
Now feeling right cheekbone and left cheekbone,
Right eye socket,
And the right eye within that.
Left eye socket and the left eye.
The space in between your eyebrows and the whole forehead.
And now cover the whole face with your awareness.
Aware of the whole face.
Now aware of the scalp and the back of the head,
Back of the neck,
Front of the neck,
Feeling the throat,
The heart space,
Right shoulder,
Right upper arm,
Elbow,
Forearm,
Wrist,
Right thumb,
Index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
And little finger.
The spaces in between the fingers and the whole right hand.
Back up again through the right wrist,
Right forearm,
Elbow,
Upper arm,
Right shoulder,
Back into the heart space,
Left shoulder,
Upper arm,
Left elbow,
Forearm,
Wrist,
Left thumb,
Index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
And little finger.
Spaces in between the left fingers,
Whole left hand.
Back up through the wrist,
Forearm,
Left elbow,
Elbow,
Upper arm,
Shoulder,
Back into heart space,
Whole heart,
Feeling the belly,
The navel within the belly,
The pelvis,
Right hip,
Right thigh,
Knee,
Lower leg,
Ankle,
Heel,
Heel,
Sole of the foot,
Top of the right foot,
All five toes of the right foot.
Back up through the lower leg,
Knee,
Right thigh,
Whole pelvis area,
Left hip,
Thigh,
Knee,
Lower leg,
Ankle,
Heel,
Sole of the foot,
Top of the foot,
Sole of the foot,
All five toes,
Left lower leg,
Knee,
Thigh,
Left hip,
And the whole pelvis,
Whole right leg,
Whole left leg,
Whole right arm,
And whole left arm,
Right leg and left arm at the same time,
Left leg and right arm at the same time,
And now feeling the whole body at once,
Completely aware of the whole body,
Feeling the energetic vibrations in your whole body.
Now concentrating all of the awareness into the toes,
All energetic vibrations,
Complete presence concentrated in the toes,
And now only on your next inhalation will guide that full presence from the toes through the whole body upwards,
All the way to the crown of your head.
And then as you exhale,
We move the energy back down as awareness descends back all the way towards the toes.
Every time you inhale,
Letting the sensations rise through the legs,
The upper body,
All the way to crown of head,
Descending it all the way back down to feet and toes on every exhale,
And keep flowing awareness on your breath,
And notice how this flow up and down potentiates the energy within the body.
Feel how this really lets the frequency rise with every cycle.
Keep moving the sensations,
Your presence through the body up and down,
Up and down,
Guided by the natural rhythm of your breath,
Letting go of the breath for a moment,
Feeling into the whole body again,
Feeling the solid ground underneath the body and the heaviness of the body resting on top of that.
I will now count back from seven to one,
And with each count,
You will feel awareness landing deeper down into the body.
With each count,
You will feel yourself anchoring into a deeper state of consciousness.
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One,
Feeling this deep grounding in the body.
Notice again,
The back of the body and feel where the shoulders are touching the surface beneath you.
As you now feel how beautiful roots are starting to grow from that space of the shoulders,
Starting from the shoulders,
Growing down into the ground,
Down through the layers of earth beneath,
Roots that feel and look like the most beautiful roots of an ancient tree,
Growing down,
Growing deeper and deeper in all directions.
Now notice where the hips touch the surface beneath you.
And also here,
Start feeling those beautiful roots shooting down,
Growing deeply into the ground,
Roots growing all the way into the earth.
Beautiful,
Strong roots,
Deeply into the earth.
Now feel into the back of the heels,
As once again,
From that point,
You feel those beautiful ancient roots growing down,
Anchoring the body into the earth,
Into the ground.
Strong,
Beautiful root.
Now lastly,
We feel into the back of the head.
From this place also,
We feel those magnificent roots growing down,
Feeling the strength of those roots growing down.
Now feel how solidly grounded the body feels with all these beautiful roots,
From the back of the heels,
The hips,
The shoulders,
And the back of the head.
The body completely grounded,
Feeling all those beautiful roots.
And while the back of the body feels so solidly rooted,
So grounded,
Feel how the front of the body feels open and soft.
Feel how the front of the body feels ready to receive what's in front of you,
Feels ready to wisely respond to whatever life brings your way.
The back of the body,
Solidly grounded,
With the support of our roots in the earth.
The front of the body,
Softly opening energetically more and more,
As if saying,
I am ready for what is to come.
I trust myself to make wise decisions.
I trust myself to make wise decisions based on the truth of my body in every moment.
I possess the wisdom needed,
Always.
I have the courage to look within when needed.
I am open.
I am ready.
Letting this be an embodied experience,
Filling the body with the remembrance of this wisdom.
Now let go of all those roots,
While keeping the connection to that rooted,
Yet open state.
Relaxing the whole body into that knowing that whatever life presents you with,
You have the ability to act from this rooted,
Trusted place.
You have the innate wisdom to respond mindfully in any situation,
Aware of the whole body.
As you feel the body relaxing deeper and deeper into this knowing,
Without effort,
Letting the body upgrade with this knowledge,
This deep trust in yourself.
Feeling the upgrade effortlessly happening within your whole system,
In every cell of your body.
Lending this knowledge into the core of your being.
Lending this knowledge into the core of your being.
Enjoy the experience of resting in this upgraded version of awareness.
Resting deeply into the remembrance of this timeless wisdom,
Solidly rooted in the truth of your being.
Now feeling the back of the body,
Touching the surface beneath you again.
Noticing once more all those points of contact,
The weight of your body.
And noticing the breath again,
As you now allow the breath to deepen a couple of rounds.
Letting that be a signal to the body that we are slowly returning to a normal waking state of being,
Still lingering within this beautiful grounding you created.
Still lingering within this sense of deep,
Deep trust.
As you very slowly start to move the head from left to right a couple of times,
Rolling the left cheek towards the side,
The right cheek.
Bring some small movements back in fingers and toes,
Slowly coming back,
Slowly coming back to the here and now.
Gently open your eyes,
As I want to deeply thank you for practicing together today.
