Welcome to this power nap.

Make your body really comfortable now,

Closing your eyes and mentally repeating these words.

For this power nap I allow my mind and body to be completely relieved of all duties,

All demands,

All responsibilities and all judgement.

I trust that my body will awaken feeling calm,

Fresh and let this be a time of nourishing self-care.

Remembering that your body knows how to sleep.

Rest assured that life is taking care of itself so that right now there's nothing to control or manage,

Nothing to plan or remember and it's enough just to be here exactly as you are.

As you lie here quietly,

Notice that your body is breathing and begin to let your breath deepen,

Taking a few really slow and low breaths.

Inhaling right down into your belly and exhaling with a long and soft sigh.

Really take your time,

No rush,

No hurry.

Inhaling like you have forever and exhaling like you have forever and exhaling like you have forever and exhaling like you have forever.

Inhaling just letting it all go.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Inhaling and exhaling.

Breathing in slow and low.

Breathing out just giving it all up.

Deep breath in,

Long breath out.

Inhaling,

Belly rises.

Exhaling,

Belly drops.

And now let your breath be natural,

Not controlling it,

Just quietly noticing as your body breathes by itself.

Not thinking about your breath but feeling it directly,

The sensation in the inner passageways of your nostrils.

Feel where your body meets the surface beneath and just let the weight of your whole body fall into that support.

Let your body be held.

Tongue resting in the mouth,

Hinges of the jaw loosening,

Lower jaw falling softly away from the upper jaw.

A softening of softening of the whole face.

The eyes resting right back,

Forehead smooth.

The feeling behind eyes softening,

Completely releasing the weight of your head.

Shoulders sinking down,

Giving up the weight of the arms.

Feel the sensation in your palms,

Let that feeling come to you.

The direct sensation,

Palms of hands.

The immediate feeling,

The lower half of your body resting open,

Hips releasing their weight,

Giving up the weight of the legs.

The whole body softening,

Maybe just a little more.

Whole body suspended in a warm bath of effortless being.

Right now,

I invite you just to rest here and do absolutely nothing.

Let your body sleep if it wants or simply let yourself rest in the soothing,

Healing balm of just being.

Just being.

Trusting that your body will awaken at exactly the right moment.
