This is a guided meditation for practice number five,
Let it be.
Gently settle yourself into a seated position.
For this meditation if it's more comfortable for you,
You can also lie down.
Gently closing your eyes.
Bring awareness to your body.
Just noticing your body as it is.
Allowing everything to be just as it is.
Any sensations,
Welcome them and let them be.
Any thoughts that cross the mind,
Welcome them and let them be.
Any emotions as they arise,
Welcome them and allow them to express themselves just as they are.
As you sit or lie here,
I invite you to bring to mind a difficult relationship or interaction.
Something that feels stuck,
Immovable,
Unchangeable and frustrating.
Take a moment to get really clear about this relationship.
Calling to mind a specific interaction that represents what's most frustrating,
What's most immovable.
You may have tried to problem-solve this relationship by fixing,
Controlling,
Trying to figure out.
But for now,
For the purposes of this practice,
Can you embrace this relationship,
This difficulty,
This person for all that it is and all that it is not?
Repeating to yourself now,
I embrace this relationship exactly as it is and exactly as it is not.
I embrace this difficulty exactly as it is and exactly as it is not.
I embrace this person exactly as they are and exactly as they are not.
Can you fully let this be?
Releasing for now the desire to try to fix the relationship,
The desire to try to fix yourself.
As we allow difficulties to be just as they are,
A new space opens up.
It creates a freedom for a whole new way of being.
The space can transform and create a whole new relationship.
Letting go creates a whole new space in your heart so you can manifest what it is you really want.
Coming back to this difficult interaction or relationship maybe it's a difficult stubborn pain in the body.
And repeating to yourself,
I release the need to fix this.
I embrace it exactly as it is and as it is not.
What you embrace dissolves,
Transforms,
And becomes something new,
Something workable.
Is there any more space you can bring to this now?
Is there another place where you can release and let go?
Releasing your need for control,
For mastery,
And to fix just allowing what is.
Gently bringing your awareness back now to the breath,
To the body,
Opening the eyes,
And taking in the room around you.
Namaste.
