Hello and welcome to this guided meditation on accepting pain.

So begin by finding a quiet,

Calm space where you can be alone,

And make sure that you are in a position that feels comfortable to you,

Either seated or lying down.

And allow your eyes to gently close,

Disconnecting yourself from the outside world as you start to focus inwardly.

Now take several deep calming breaths,

So you breathe in through your nose,

And out through your mouth.

You breathe in,

And breathe out.

You breathe in,

And breathe out.

I invite you to concentrate on the rise and fall of your chest as you breathe,

Grounding yourself in the present moment.

So you breathe in through your nose,

And you breathe out through your mouth.

And as you inhale,

Visualize the breath as a current of soothing and healing energy flowing into your body.

Imagine it traveling through you,

Reaching out to the areas of discomfort,

Particularly around your heart.

And as you exhale,

You envision any tension,

Pain,

Or emotional distress that you are harboring being released from your body,

Carried away on the outflow of your breath.

Next,

Gently bring to your mind the feelings of loss and pain that you are experiencing due to the breakup.

These emotions are real and intense,

And they are completely valid,

Alright?

So I invite you to acknowledge these feelings without any judgment,

Understanding that it's completely normal and human to feel this way after a significant loss.

You can repeat to yourself,

Softly and with compassion,

I am experiencing pain and loss,

And that's okay.

I am experiencing pain and loss,

And that's okay.

It's natural to feel this way after a breakup.

It's natural to feel this way after a breakup.

These words aren't merely statements,

They are affirmations,

Validating your feelings and aiding you in accepting them.

So take some time to visualize your pain and loss.

Give them a form.

Give them a color.

Give them a shape.

Where in your body do they reside?

Do they move or are they stationary?

Observe these sensations without judgment,

Simply noting their existence.

So you give them a form,

A color,

A shape,

And then you visualize where in your body do they reside,

And if they are moving or if they are stationary.

Then imagine that your pain and loss are a cloud in the sky,

Heavy and dark,

Yet with each breath you take,

You watch this cloud,

You observe it getting smaller and smaller,

Gradually losing its darkness until it eventually disappears,

Leaving only a clear bright sky in its place.

Now it's time to bring to mind a feeling of peace,

Of calm and acceptance.

So visualize this as a warm bright light,

Starting small but growing with each breath.

So you imagine this light filling your body,

Reaching every corner,

Every space,

Replacing all the areas that the pain and loss once occupied.

And while doing so,

You repeat to yourself this affirmation.

I am now filled with peace and calm.

I am now filled with peace and calm.

Stay with this feeling for as long as you need,

Allowing the sense of peace to settle in.

You are not rushing this process,

You are allowing it to happen naturally.

This is your journey,

Your healing,

And it happens at your own pace.

And when you feel ready,

Gently start to bring your awareness back to your surroundings.

Connect with the room around you,

Listen to the sounds,

Feel the surface beneath you.

And when you are ready,

You can open your eyes slowly,

Bringing the calm and peace back into the world with you.

Remember,

It's okay to feel pain after a breakup,

But you also have the power to let it go and make space for peace and calm in its place.

So carry this newfound peace with you as you navigate through your day,

And remember,

Healing takes time and that's perfectly okay.

Thank you for meditating with me,

And I'll see you next time.

Bye for now.
