Hello,
I'm Angie and welcome to a meditation that focuses on letting go of the stresses in our life,
Especially those who have small children around you.
Let's come to a comfortable seated or lying down position.
Losing our eyes and focus on our breath in through the nose,
Out through the nose,
Making this breath a comfortable breath,
A relaxing breath.
Let's focus on relaxing our facial muscles,
Our eyebrows,
Cheekbones,
Jaw.
Relaxing our neck and shoulders,
Taking a breath in.
On your exhale,
Relax your shoulders and neck even more.
Relaxing your arms and hands.
And relaxing your legs and feet.
I want you to review in your mind your day or your week.
Being mindful of the different emotions you felt.
Maybe even thinking of a few moments that were less than peaceful.
Maybe there were moments you wished you would have responded differently.
And maybe there were a few precious moments you were proud of how you responded.
Let's take all these feelings,
All these memories,
And just set them aside for a few minutes.
Focus on you in this moment.
Letting go of the what ifs,
Not worrying about the to-dos,
But just being present.
Feeling peace in this moment.
Peace doesn't mean to be in a place where there is no noise,
No trouble or hard times.
It means to be in the midst of those things and still calm in our heart.
Now let's focus on the word relax.
On our inhale,
Thinking of re.
On our exhale,
Relax.
Just repeating that to ourselves a few times.
Maybe even deepening our breath here.
And with our eyes closed,
Let's add a slight smile to the side of our mouth.
Feeling grateful for this moment.
The peace you feel right now.
So when you feel stress again,
We take a nice deep inhale and exhale.
When your body remembers this moment,
The peace you feel right now.
Now end with a quote by Harold Bealy.
Happiness does not depend on what happens outside of you,
But on what happens inside of you.
It is measured by the spirit with which you meet the problems of life.
Namaste.
