Hello and welcome to this EFT tapping session for self-love and body acceptance.
In this session we are going to combine gentle tapping on specific acupressure points with spoken words.
Spoken words about self-love,
Body acceptance,
Where we hold guilt,
Shame,
Things about ourselves that we don't like.
By doing this we help our nervous system to calm,
Release stress and shift old patterns of thought and emotion.
As you will see when we start tapping,
One of the key principles of EFT is that we start by acknowledging what we truly feel,
Even if it's uncomfortable,
Before we can move toward acceptance and positive change.
By honoring our truth and our experience first,
We can make space for compassion and self-love to grow naturally.
So as I said earlier,
Our focus today is on self-love and body acceptance.
And we will begin by naming the self-criticism we often carry,
Then gradually soften into compassion,
Gratitude and some affirmations of worthiness.
So I invite you to take a comfortable position,
Best seated on a chair with both feet on the floor,
Or you can also sit cross-legged.
And if it's comfortable for you,
You can close your eyes or just gaze softly in front of you.
And let's take three deep breaths together.
Inhale through the nose for four.
Hold at the top for four.
And exhale for four through the mouth.
Again,
Inhale,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Hold,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Release,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
One more time,
Inhale through the nose,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Hold,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Release,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Well done.
So we're going to start by setting up some statements about how we feel right now in our body.
About the emotions we feel,
The struggles we experience.
And we're going to tap gently on the karate chop,
It's the side of your hand,
And you can use the fingertips of your other hand to tap.
And then I'm going to say a few words and you're just going to simply repeat after me.
So start tapping on the side of your hand now.
Repeat after me,
Either loud or silently.
Even though I currently struggle to love my body,
I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Even though I compare myself to others,
I choose to honor myself today.
Even though I hold on to judgments and discomfort,
I am open to kindness and compassion.
Now take a breath and notice how that feels.
And just let it be there.
Now we're going to start tapping in different points in the body.
The first one is the eyebrow point,
The beginning of the brow.
So tap with your fingers on that point and then repeat after me.
All the self-criticism.
Move to the side of the eye.
These judgments about my body.
Under the eye.
I feel like I'm not enough.
Under the nose.
I often focus on what I don't like.
Chin points between your lips and the bottom of your chin.
There's discomfort in my own skin.
Below the collarbone.
There's pressure to be different.
Another arm on the side of your ribs.
I feel weighed down by these judgments.
On top of the head,
On your crown.
All this self-criticism.
Take a deep breath and place your hand on your chest.
Notice what you're feeling right now and just let it be there.
Tap on the eyebrow point.
I see my struggle.
Side of the eye.
And I choose to meet it with compassion.
Under the eye.
I am learning to be gentle with myself.
Under the nose.
I don't have to fight myself anymore.
Chin.
My body is doing its best.
Under the collarbone.
I can now offer myself kindness.
Under the arm,
Side of the ribs.
I don't have to be perfect to be worthy.
Top of the head.
I welcome compassion into my body.
Take another breath.
And notice if anything feels lighter.
And if not,
That's fine.
Just let it be there.
And we're moving into the next round.
Eyebrow point.
My body has carried me through so much.
Side of the eye.
I am grateful for all it has survived.
Under the eye.
My body holds wisdom and resilience.
Under the nose.
It deserves care and love.
Chin.
I can honor it with kindness.
Collarbone.
Even if I don't love every part,
I can accept myself.
Under the arm.
I am learning to trust my body.
Top of the head.
I thank my body for all it gives me.
Take a deep breath.
And let this gratitude settle into your chest.
In the next round,
We're going to tap in some affirmations of self-love.
So start tapping on the eyebrow.
I am open to loving myself more each day.
Side of the eye.
I choose to release old self-judgments.
Under the eye.
I am worthy of compassion.
Under the nose.
I give myself permission to feel at home in my body.
Chin.
I choose to be kind to myself.
Collarbone.
I am enough exactly as I am.
Under the arm.
My worth does not depend on how I look.
Top of the head.
I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
And now pause.
Take a few deep breaths.
And let it really sink in.
Notice how it feels.
How your body relaxes.
And now place your hands gently over your heart.
And notice again what has shifted for you.
Feel your breath.
Feel the warmth of your body.
And then repeat again,
Silently or aloud.
I am learning to love myself.
I accept myself more and more each day.
I am worthy of kindness,
Safety and love.
Now imagine your body surrounded by a soft,
Gentle light.
This light accepts you without any conditions.
It whispers,
You are enough.
You always have been.
And take one last deep breath in.
Into the nose.
And exhale or sigh it out through the mouth.
Thank you for showing up for this practice.
May self-love ripple into the rest of your day.
