Namaste,

Friends.

Welcome to Doshia Balancing Meditation.

In the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda,

We believe that each one of us has Doshas.

The Doshas being Vata,

Made up of the elements ether and air,

Pitta,

Made up of the elements of fire and water,

And Kapha,

Made up of the elements of earth and water.

This meditation will help balance each of those elements and guide you into a relaxed,

Blissful state of being.

According to Ayurveda,

This is our natural state.

So sit back,

Get comfy,

And enjoy returning to your natural state of bliss.

Let's start in either a seated or lying down position.

Get comfortable.

Melt in and close the eyes.

Let's take a big inhale.

And now exhale.

Again,

Big inhale.

And exhale.

One more big inhale.

And exhale fully and completely.

Let's focus now on the top of the head.

Let the scalp melt towards the floor.

Relax the eyebrows,

The nose,

The cheeks,

Ears,

Tongue,

Throat,

And shoulders.

Feel the breath comfortably moving in and out of the body.

Take this moment to be fully present.

Listen to the sounds in your environment.

Feel the temperature of the air on your skin.

Feel the body relaxing with each inhalation and each exhalation.

We will set an Ayurvedic Sankalpa.

Sankalpa means will or motivation,

And it is the main mental action for creating samskaras,

The deep seated conditionings behind the mind and the heart.

Repeat after me.

I am whole.

I am healthy.

I am at peace.

I am bliss.

Again,

I am whole.

I am healthy.

I am at peace.

I am bliss.

One more time.

I am whole.

I am healthy.

I am at peace.

I am at bliss.

Take another deep inhalation.

And let go.

With your eyes closed,

Gently turn the eyes upward towards the third eye,

The spot between your eyebrows.

Gently touch the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth.

Picture in your mind's eye a beautiful,

Serene,

Calm lake reflecting the golden light cast upon it by the setting sun.

Now repeat to yourself,

I have all I need.

I have all I need.

I have all I need.

I have all I need.

I have all I need.

I have all I need.

Turn your attention to the sky.

Watch as it gradually turns from the golden sunset to a dark,

Deep blue.

A cool moon rising now above the lake,

Reflecting its beauty in the calm waters.

Repeat this to yourself.

I wish peace and happiness to all beings,

Including myself.

I am forgiven.

I wish peace and happiness to all beings,

Including myself.

I am forgiven.

I wish peace and happiness to all beings,

Including myself.

I am forgiven.

I wish peace and happiness to all beings,

Including myself.

I am forgiven.

I wish peace and happiness to all beings,

Including myself.

I am forgiven.

Begin to notice the breeze picking up on the lake.

Watch as the breeze creates a beautiful ripple on the waters and the reflection of the moon.

Feel the cool breeze on your skin.

Smell the sweet smell of the water,

The night air bask in the beauty of nature.

I wish peace and happiness to all beings,

Including myself.

I am forgiven.

Now repeat to yourself.

I love and care for all beings.

I love and care for myself.

I love and care for all beings.

I love and care for myself.

I love and care for all beings.

I love and care for myself.

I love and care for myself.

I love and care for myself.

I love and care for myself.

Time to return to the sankapa,

Your sankapa.

Repeat after me.

I am whole.

I am healthy.

I am at peace.

I am bliss.

Again,

I am healthy.

I am whole.

I am at peace.

I am bliss.

One more time.

I am whole.

I am healthy.

I am at peace.

I am bliss.

I am at peace.

I am at peace.

I am at peace.

I am at peace.

I am at peace.

I am at peace.

I am at peace.

I am at peace.

I am at peace.

Namaste.

The meditation was amazing! It left me feeling magically calm and relaxed. I want to know how long do we need to keep the tongue touched to the palette?
