Hi there,
Welcome to this gratitude meditation.
Begin with finding a comfortable position,
One that will allow you to be fully at ease.
Once you're settled in,
Gently close down the eyes.
First off,
Bring your attention to your body,
Notice any areas where you're squeezing,
Holding on to any tension or feeling any kind of discomfort.
Now with every out breath,
Allow these parts of your body to soften,
Let go,
And release.
Now shift your focus to your breath,
Seal your lips,
And start inviting long,
Nourishing inhales and long,
Cleansing exhales.
Repeat that for a few moments,
Slowly let go of the active control of your breath,
And instead,
Think of a moment in your life when you felt grateful.
Maybe this gratitude was driven by an item or thing,
A situation,
A sense of accomplishment,
A somebody,
Or maybe it was life itself.
How does evoking this memory make you feel?
Does being grateful feel familiar to you?
Continue to let this feeling of gratitude circulate throughout your entire being.
Take this gratitude with you as you slowly begin to bring your awareness back to this moment.
Wiggling your toes and fingers,
Taking a deep breath,
Start coming back into the here and the now,
And when you're ready,
Blink open your eyes,
