Welcome to your five-minute weekly meditation.
My name is Christy and I'll guide you through just a few minutes of stillness,
A moment to land,
To breathe and begin.
So start by finding a position that feels good,
Sitting down,
Lying down or even leaning back,
Whatever helps you settle.
Let your body begin to soften,
Let your eyes close.
This is your space to arrive,
Just as you are.
There's no pressure to feel calm,
No need to be anywhere else.
And we'll begin here by noticing your breath,
Not controlling it,
Not changing it,
Just noticing.
In and out.
Let yourself become aware of how your body feels today without trying to fix or change anything.
The mind might want to label or judge and that is normal.
You're simply meeting yourself as you are without needing anything to be different.
Maybe today feels fast or heavy or foggy,
Maybe you're unsure where you're at and that's okay.
You don't need to feel ready,
You don't need a plan,
You just need to start right from where you are.
Let the breath help you land.
Each inhale is a beginning and each exhale is soft,
Letting go.
If your mind wanders,
That's completely normal.
This is not about staying perfectly focused,
It's about noticing when you drift and gently coming back.
Each time you return you're strengthening your ability to stay connected even in the middle of everyday life.
Let your shoulders drop,
Let your jaw unclench,
Let your thoughts come and go like background noise.
You are here and that's the important part.
There is nothing else you need to do,
Nowhere else you need to be.
Just this breath,
Just this moment,
And just this version of you.
Bringing her awareness back now,
Maybe inviting some gentle movement back into your body.
Thank you for joining me in this five-minute meditation and remember life is a balance of holding on and letting go.
Namaste.
