Hey. You. Here you are. Feeling oh so human — whatever flavor that may be today. Maybe you are confused. Afraid. Sad. Lonely. Overwhelmed. It’s okay. It’s okay. Inhale. Exhale. Stay. And breathe in. And breathe out. Slow everything down. Be present. Yes, pain and suffering exist. Yes, times are uncertain. Yes, storylines sometimes spook like a horse and run wildly in who knows what direction toward what destruction. Inhale. Exhale. It’s okay. Stay. And breathe in. And breathe out.

Pain and suffering exist.

Storylines sometimes run wildly in who knows what direction toward what destruction.

But you are here.

Right here.

Right now.

Inhale.

It's okay.

Stay.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

We can't always stop life's troubles and uncertainties.

So what if we just sit here for a bit and attend to what is.

Go still.

Wait.

Wait upon this moment.

This breath.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Whatever arises,

Greet it with a,

Hey,

I see you.

Here you are so tender.

I'm going to sit with you for a bit and make space to hold you.

Inhale.

It's okay.

Exhale.

It's okay.

When things fall apart.

When the mind won't stop.

Be right where you are.

With a kind and courageous heart.

Hey,

Gosh,

I can see how much you are struggling right now.

You might say to your spirit.

Trust.

Breathe.

Let your breath,

Find you where you are.

Let it fill you with life.

You might not understand the lie.

Or know the when.

But you can always choose your how.

How will you be?

Here.

Now.

Center.

Surrender.

Breathe.

It's okay.

It's been quite a while since my last Hit of Hope; I've been mostly using binaural beats to help sleep and a few core affirmations to get me through some rough patches with school. This practice seemed to be speaking to me on a deeper level than I initially thought. It's night and do I'm not sure I can stay awake for my typical philosophical ramble (though I admit initially the guidance made me think of certain Cobber orientation group activities....uff da). Nevertheless, I think the message of being okay, being present, letting oneself simply BE and that itself being okay as well as YOU being okay as well in that moment is invaluable and so very supportive. I'll be listening to this again, I think. I feel there's more here that I need to take in than I did upon this first listen. Thanks for sharing this precious gift with us here, Betsy. It's good to hear your voice again, too. 😊 I see you and the light within you. Be well. 🤲🏻💖🤲🏻
