Here you are right now in this very moment,

Alive to what is.

In the wake of challenge,

Defeat,

Hardship,

And resistance,

Can you find courage,

Kindness,

Resilience,

And softness?

Can you let go of the grip of what you think should be and rather can you take the brave step to accept what is?

I invite you to close your eyes,

Finding a comfortable position that invites both presence and dignity.

Perhaps lifting your chest toward the sky,

Rolling your shoulders down and back,

Releasing the tension in your eyes and letting your eyebrows relax,

Letting go of the tension in your jaw and curling your fingers,

Finding your breath,

Bringing your attention to the details of your breath.

Can you use your breath as an invitation to be here right now?

With each breath,

Can you imagine you are letting go,

That you are stepping into a state of acceptance,

Silently repeating to yourself,

I accept this moment for what it is,

Letting the words penetrate your body,

Noticing how the words feel in your body.

Do you notice any tightness or tension?

Do you notice any warmth or softening?

If the grip of resistance finds you,

Can you explore with curiosity and openness what that feels like?

Returning your attention back to your breath,

Each breath representing the opportunity to be courageous.

And when you get lost in thought,

Come back to your body,

To the rise and fall of your chest.

To the movement of your belly as you breathe in and breathe out.

Returning to yourself,

I give myself permission to enter the flow of this moment.

How does it feel to be in harmony with what is?

Becoming aware of your body as a whole,

A living breathing entity full of life and vitality,

Gifts and love.

Repeating to yourself,

I am okay.

And as you say these words softly to yourself,

Letting them penetrate your body,

Staying curious to the experience of letting go of resistance.

I am okay.

As this meditation comes to a close,

I invite you to bring aliveness back into your body,

Wiggling your fingers and toes,

Rolling your neck and slowly and intentionally opening your eyes to embrace the remainder of your day.
