Ascend The Realms- A Ladder Meditation

The ancient yoga textbooks teach us about different realms, each with its own vibrations and frequencies. In terms of our own evolution, there are 7 downward realms and 7 upward realms. The methodology of yoga, especially hatha yoga is offered as a shining stairway, to allow us to move upwards towards our highest light. This is the context of this meditation. One pranayama technique I will be resorting to in this meditation is this- as you inhale, draw up the pelvic floor with the feeling that it is lifting up and centering all scattered and downward tendencies of your being. That’s all, just press play, and rise upward. To the higher realms of light.

Namaste,

For this meditation you can be either seated or reclining.

Let's begin.

Close your eyes.

Relax your body,

Your face,

Neck,

Shoulders,

Arms.

Become aware of the physical presence that your body is.

Become aware of your environment.

Sense the presence of the solidity of the walls,

Of the structure on which you are sitting or lying down,

The floor,

The ceiling,

Furniture,

Gadget.

Now start to become aware of you as a mass of consciousness composed of units of attention,

Units of energy.

And as units of attention,

You are just noticing all these material phenomena.

Just take a few deep breaths.

As you exhale long,

Feel and visualize that the solidity of the environment,

The solidity of the body are dissolving.

And as you inhale,

Feel that you are entering into another realm.

So let's put the intention that in three inhales,

You as an energy body will be in an energy spiritual realm.

So exhale fully,

Feel all the solidity dissolving.

Inhale,

Feel yourself entering a deeper dimension.

This is one.

Exhale,

Solidity dissolving.

More.

Second inhale.

Third inhale.

Entering deeper and deeper into the energy realm.

Exhale,

The material realm dissolving completely.

Three inhale.

And you are now completely in this energy realm.

Just be here for a few moments,

Sensing a different kind of environment.

And slowly start to become aware and recognize that you are standing on a stair of an infinite stairway.

Now gently look upwards and there in the heights,

See this beautiful glow of light.

Beautiful.

And as you keep looking at it,

Sense infinite love emanating from it towards you.

Feel yourself getting bathed by this love.

And feel yourself softly being invited towards it.

That light feels like your true home.

And even as you are about to step upward,

Notice this tremendous downward pull,

Resisting your intention to ascend to the light.

Slowly look downward and see this stairway extending infinitely below you.

See a memory.

It can be a person,

It can be an event.

And as you keep looking at it,

Feel a sense of attraction towards this memory.

And as you exhale,

Feel yourself getting drawn down the stairway to this place of memory.

And even as you are being completely getting sucked into this memory,

Suddenly remember the light.

Have the intention to go upward towards it.

You have the tactic,

The Sushumna breath.

In the energy body,

Become aware of that pelvic floor area.

Deliberately inhale up the spine line,

Drawing energy upward towards the third eye.

Exhale,

Relax the grip down the spine line.

Rub the pelvic floor now.

Inhale,

Pull up the energy up the Sushumna to the third eye.

Exhale down the spine line.

And now again become aware.

Feel that the power of that suction is not there.

Feel yourself free.

And now with each inhale,

Feel yourself easily being able to ascend the stairs.

Inhale and you're stepping higher.

Inhale and higher.

It's getting lighter and lighter.

Inhale,

Feel yourself almost floating up the stairs.

And now just pause.

Take note of this environment you are in now.

Feel the serenity.

Feel the peace.

Feel the love and the peace which is in this atmosphere.

And now again notice strong downward tug,

The pull of emotion.

It can be anger or fear or sadness.

Just consider an emotion which has a strong influence on you.

If an event or a person comes up as memory,

That's fine.

And if no event or person comes up,

That's fine too.

Just feel a strong emotion which usually pulls you down.

Feel it alive right now pulling you down.

And even as it is completely gripping you,

And even as it's almost about to tuck you downward,

Remember the technique.

The Tanu-Tri-Sushumna breath.

Drop from the pelvis,

Inhale up the spine line.

To third eye,

Exhale down the spine line.

Inhale,

Drop spine line to third eye.

Exhale back to pelvic floor.

Inhale,

Draw in,

Feel yourself freeing from that clutch of emotion.

You're rising up the spine line and exhale.

Now again feel the freedom.

That downward entrapping power of the emotion is gone.

Each inhale you're ascending.

Feel like you're levitating and floating up this stairway towards that beautiful light.

Rescind higher,

Lighter,

And now just pause.

Just become aware of the environment.

Sense the beautiful vibrations resonating with loving wisdom,

Beautiful loving equanimity,

Beautiful unshakable peace.

Feel beautiful joy.

Feel the soft contentment.

Feel all these energies entering you,

Starting to permeate you.

Feel the glow of light all around,

Different beautiful hues of colors.

Each hue says its own unique vibrations and frequency and its own wisdom.

Feel yourself connecting and absorbing all these frequencies and vibrations.

Sense beautiful guiding voices.

Sense sage wisdom all around.

If any visual comes up of sages,

Internally be in that namaste.

These realms of maha and tapa and all of them have all these rishis and sages.

They're all here.

Feel.

Gently internally seek wisdom and guidance and just simply bask in their loving wise blessing presence.

Feel yourself getting healed.

Now slowly remember that there are prarabdha karmas.

You have your own dharma to fulfill in the material world.

So once again slowly look upward to see the light.

Internally take that namaste to the light and then just softly turn all around with namaste.

Expressing gratitude to the sage wisdom,

The different energies in this beautiful inner realm and then slowly exhale each exhalation with love you're descending.

You're descending deliberately and with love.

You can see the room.

You can see the roles of life you play.

See the people in your life.

You're slowly entering this realm.

Slowly feel the support of the structure below you.

The solidity.

Feel the environment taking shape.

The solidity of the walls,

Floor,

Ceiling,

Sounds.

The solidity of the body slowly encasing this pure energies that you are.

Take your time to slowly end this meditation practice.
