Welcome to Rewiring the Inner Story.
This meditation is an invitation to look beneath the surface.
To see the stories you've been carrying.
The ones that shaped you,
Maybe protected you,
And possibly even limited you.
We all have narratives running in the background.
And most of them were written long before we knew we could choose differently.
Today,
You'll step into a truer story.
One that supports your growth,
Honors who you are becoming,
And reminds you that transformation begins with choosing how you want to write your story.
Find a comfy place to relax.
Close your eyes if that feels good for you.
And take a long,
Slow breath in.
And a soft,
Easy exhale out.
Let your body settle.
Allow your breath to deepen.
And tell your mind that it doesn't have to solve anything right now.
With each inhale,
See if you can feel a little more space open in your chest,
The front of your heart space.
With each exhale,
Feel the tension sliding off your body.
The kind of tension that you may have been carrying all week without even noticing.
There's nothing to force.
Nothing to perform.
You're just here right now with your breathing.
In this moment,
You're already doing everything you need to do.
Now begin to imagine you're stepping into a calm,
Spacious room.
A room where you feel safe and supported.
A place where your inner world can soften.
Start to feel any level of stress that you're carrying drop down a notch with every exhale.
Allowing your breath to start to lead the way.
And exhale.
You are supported in this space.
Inhale.
And exhale.
And this is a place where you can rest and reset.
As you invite your breath to steady,
Bring your awareness to a gentle truth.
We all have stories about who we are.
Stories about what we're capable of.
Stories about what is or isn't possible for us.
Some of these stories empower us.
Some limit us.
Some of them we have inherited.
Some we've absorbed.
Some we've created to survive.
And some of them are simply no longer true.
Take a deep inhale.
And exhale as you let your breath go.
Start to invite releasing the things that are no longer true.
Think of one small story that you've been carrying that isn't serving you anymore.
It might be about your abilities.
Your past.
Your potential.
Or your place in the world.
It could sound like I'm always so tired.
Or it could be I'll never enjoy running.
Maybe it's I don't feel ready to start the next thing.
It might be a story that you aren't the kind of person who succeeds.
Not the kind of person who heals.
Or not the kind of person who gets what they want.
So just notice what arises.
You don't have to force it.
Just let whatever wants to surface surface.
If what comes up feels like too much for this moment,
Take a deep breath and invite yourself to think of something that is smaller to work with.
Whatever comes up,
Whatever story that's there just notice it.
Not with judgment,
But with curiosity.
Hmm,
That's interesting that I tell myself this story.
Now ask yourself is this story true?
Or is it simply familiar?
Is it actually true?
Or is it just a pattern that I've been holding on to?
Take a slow,
Deep breath and let your body answer before your mind does.
And if this story is not actually true start to invite it to be released with every exhale that we take.
The stories we tell ourselves shape our choices our emotions,
Our identity and our entire way of experiencing the world.
But here's the power that you hold.
Stories can be questioned.
Stories can be rewritten.
You are not trapped in the narrative that you've been holding on to.
You are the author now.
So take a deep inhale the kind that feels like expansion and a slow exhale the kind that feels like release.
And gently say these words to yourself I can choose a new story.
So start to change whatever that untrue story is.
It might now sound like I am capable or I'm allowed to take up space remembering that our past informs us but does not define us.
Your challenges turn into wisdom and your desires matter.
You can always begin again.
So flip the script right now and tell yourself something that is so much more true of your capabilities and who you are.
You are not who you were you are who you are becoming.
Take the deepest breath that you've taken in all day fill your lungs with fresh air and on the exhale imagine letting go of the old storyline even if it's just 1% even if it's just for this moment.
Now gently repeat quietly to yourself in your mind I choose a story that supports me I choose a story that honors me I choose a story that reflects who I am becoming and repeat that one to yourself a few more times I choose a story that reflects who I am becoming maybe start to sit a little bit taller maybe start to tell yourself that story that reflects who you are becoming Let's take one final breath together and exhale with a sense of purpose,
Clarity and possibility When you're ready gently open your eyes and return to this moment Carrying with you the truth that you are the narrator You are the narrator,
The editor and the author of what comes next Your story isn't set,
It's alive and so are you Thank you for taking this time today to align with the story you want to live I look forward to our next session together
