This meditation is to specifically help cool the heat,
Anxiety,
And stress from the hormones of the IVF egg retrieval process.
This meditation is part of our IVF meditation series to help you manage the physical and emotional stress of the IVF process and to share some of the tips and tricks that help me get through my own IVF journey.
Find a comfortable,
Quiet place to sit or lie down.
Make sure your spine is straight and your posture is comfortable.
Feel free to use a pillow behind the small of your back for support if seated or a pillow behind your knees if you're laying down.
We want the breath and the energy to move with few obstructions.
Close your eyes and become aware of your body.
Let go of any expectations or goals for the meditation and simply be present with yourself.

Begin by becoming aware of your breath.
Notice the sensation of breathing in and out without trying to change it at all.
Observe the movement of air as it enters through your nose,
Fills up your lungs,
And travels back out again.
Now begin to move your awareness around your body,
Starting at your feet and slowly scanning upwards towards the top of your head.
As you do this,
Notice any sensations that arise such as warmth,
Tingling,
Tightness,
Relaxation.
Notice them.
Start to cool our system.
Start by rolling your tongue so that it forms a tube shape.
If you are one of us who are unable to roll your tongue,
It's not a problem.
Instead,
Gently press the upper and lower rows of teeth together and move your lips into an easy smile.
Place the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth.
Inhale deeply through your rolled tongue or through your teeth and fill your lungs with air.
Exhaling slowly and quietly through your nose.
Control the breath as it moves through your nose.
Gently repeat this.
Focus on the cool breath moving up into the roof of your mouth,
Up into your sinuses,
And into your head before you gently exhale the warm breath moving in,
Moving out.
With each breath,
Feel the coolness take over and the heat leave your system.
Breathe in and feel the coolness start in through your nose and spread down through your shoulders,
Into your chest,
Down your ribs,
Into your pelvis,
Down your legs,
And to the tips of your toes.
Breathe out gently and quietly through the nose and allow the heat to escape from each cell in your being.
As you breathe,
Visualize a majestic Ferris wheel in your mind's eye,
Continuously turning and spinning.
Allow your inhales to lift you up high towards the peak of the wheel and as you exhale,
Feel a gentle descent back down.
Keep your breath grounded in your belly,
Ensuring that each inhale and exhale is equally smooth and steady.
Observe as a wheel glides effortlessly and let it serve as a reminder to find balance and harmony in both your breath and your life.
Continue to observe the wheel for a few moments more,
Feeling the cool breath move in and the warm.
When you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes and take a moment to remain in the stillness.
Each meditation session is unique and allow yourself to be gentle with any feelings or emotions that arise.
