Hi,

I'm Camilla Seger-Dellerup and this meditation is called Anchoring in Happiness.

Today I'm going to share a tool with you that I find super powerful both in my own personal practice and with my clients.

It's the tool of anchoring.

Anchoring means that we can anchor in something that's previously happened to us,

Something positive and an experience where we really felt pure joy and happiness and even love or calmness,

Whichever it is that feels really good to you,

Whichever really ignites that happiness within.

So through this journey today I will ask you to remember a time where you felt immense happiness and then you can make that your anchor throughout the day or throughout the week.

You can access this positive anchor at any time when you need it in your life.

I really believe that this tool is powerful because you can dive into it and use it at any time when you feel challenged in life or especially those mornings when you wake up and just feel a little off or grumpy even.

So let's do this together.

Go ahead and just close your eyes and take three deep breaths in through your nose and letting go through the mouth.

And then when you're ready allowing your breath to simply flow in and out of your nose.

I want you to know that you can always return home to the breath.

I like to imagine the home of my breath and maybe this will work for you too.

That space or pause or stillness at the end of the out-breath before the next in-breath.

Just try gazing into that pause right there at the end of the out-breath before the next in-breath.

Know that you can always return to this point of stillness here to center yourself.

And then from this centered place within.

I like to imagine that you're walking into a big bright light that acts like a portal into that positive memory.

A situation that you're recalling of happiness and joy.

That memory that immediately as you think of it you start to remember how joyful and happy you felt in that moment.

Just notice what you notice as you do that now.

Just connecting to that feeling or image or sound that you're recalling.

Notice how it feels in the body.

What sensations are you aware of in the body as you recall this memory of happiness.

Maybe you are noticing specifically where in the body you are feeling this happiness.

Let this be your anchor for any time when you need to recall happiness and you need to change your mood.

Switch gears and just join this flow of happiness here.

Taking a deep breath in really feeling that joy and happiness here.

May your day be filled with happiness and joy.

Thank you for meditating with me.

Have a beautiful day.
