We'll be doing Love and Kindness Meditation today for our Heart Chakra.

And again,

That type of meditation is just mentally sending compassion and love and warmth toward others by repeating a series of mantras.

So find a comfortable seat wherever that is for you.

Sit up tall,

Let your eyes close.

And take a nice deep breath in through your nose.

And exhale through your mouth.

One more inhale.

Exhale.

And we will begin today with ourselves.

Because in order to love others,

We must first love ourselves.

You'll repeat the following silently to yourself.

May I be happy.

May I be well.

May I be safe.

May I be peaceful and at ease.

So repeat to yourself.

May I be happy.

May I be well.

May I be safe.

May I be peaceful and at ease.

And now picture someone that you love.

So this can be a friend,

It can be a relative,

It can be a significant other.

This person can be someone from your past,

Someone from your present.

They can be still alive or maybe they've even passed on.

But picture that person sitting right in front of you.

And we'll repeat the follow the following silently.

May you be happy.

May you be well.

May you be safe.

May you be peaceful and at ease.

May you be happy.

May you be well.

May you be safe.

May you be peaceful and at ease.

And now bring to mind a neutral acquaintance.

So this is someone that you see maybe on a daily basis.

Maybe it's the barista at Starbucks in the morning.

Maybe it's the mailman.

So someone that is not really a full on relationship but you know and see frequently.

Take a moment to think of that person and then silently repeat to yourself.

May you be happy.

May you be well.

May you be safe.

May you be peaceful and at ease.

May you be happy.

May you be well.

May you be safe.

May you be peaceful and at ease.

And now bring to mind someone that you don't normally get along with.

Someone that maybe you've had a rough past with.

You're going to picture this person again sitting right in front of you.

Repeat silently to yourself.

May you be happy.

May you be well.

May you be safe.

May you be peaceful and at ease.

May you be happy.

May you be well.

May you be safe.

May you be peaceful and at ease.

And then lastly,

You're going to send love and kindness out to the entire world,

To all beings.

Repeat silently to yourself.

May you be happy.

May you be well.

May you be safe.

May you be peaceful and at ease.

May you be happy.

May you be well.

May you be safe.

May you be peaceful and at ease.

And take a moment,

Bring your awareness to your heart chakra.

Visualize in that color green.

Maybe notice what color it is.

If it's a jade green,

If it's dark,

If it's light.

Just feel that energy at your heart space.

Take both hands,

Place them over your heart.

Take a really deep breath in.

Open your mouth,

Exhale.

Another deep breath in.

And exhale.

Bring your hands in prayer in front of your heart,

Bow your head.

Thank you so much.

Namaste.
