Hello,
This practice is designed to help you release stress when you're struggling and it's going to be around acceptance because what's getting in the way of you and inner peace is not the unpleasant or scary thing,
It's the resistance that's showing up inside of you to that thing.
As the saying goes,
Pain is inevitable,
Suffering is optional.
So let's begin.
Getting into a comfortable posture,
Sitting either cross-legged or on your knees or in a chair,
Just ensuring that your back is somewhat straight,
Not rigid,
But there's a sense of alertness.
Shoulders relaxed,
No tension in your face and you can either close your eyes or keep them open with a steady gaze downward.
Taking some breaths and just noticing how you feel right now,
Bringing our attention into this moment,
Observing the waves of thought,
Sensation and emotion that are here right now.
Observing with complete non-judgment,
Observing with acceptance.
I accept all that is here in this moment.
Noticing how that feels,
With your awareness,
Exploring what the energy of acceptance feels like,
Taking your time to explore.
Now bringing to mind an area of your life that's challenging,
An event or circumstance that is undesired.
And as you do this,
Noticing the signs of resistance in your body.
What does resistance to this circumstance or this event,
What does it feel like?
And wherever you are noticing resistance and tension,
I invite you to release it,
If only for this practice.
Noticing what it feels like to let go.
Any storylines that have been playing in relation to this thing,
Just letting go,
If only for this practice.
Again,
Noticing what it feels like to let go,
To dissolve the pain through acceptance.
Now coming back to the breath,
Sensing your power being restored.
Ending now with these affirmations,
I allow.
I trust life.
I trust myself.
I trust in the great unfolding.
My destiny path remains unobstructed.
Recognizing that your power is equal to your willingness to release resistance.
Coming back to the body,
Coming back to the room,
And slowly,
Gently opening your eyes.
Namaste.
