I invite you to find your way into any comfortable seated position.
We will be doing an energy practice called the Crown Pull from Donna Eden in her book Energy Medicine.
This practice takes energy away from our head so that our nervous system is able to relax.
Let's begin.
You'll be breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Rest your thumbs at your temples and then bring your curl fingertips to the center of your forehead.
This is your starting position.
Take a big inhale in,
Press into the forehead with your fingers and as you exhale pull your fingers apart moving slowly outward all the way to the temples and again to the starting position.
Inhale here,
Press and pull.
You are stretching the skin of the forehead above the eyebrows.
Return to the starting position,
Press and pull.
Now move your fingertips into your hairline in the center of the top of the head.
Put some pressure on your skull with your fingertips and pull outward all the way down toward your ears.
Good.
Now move your curl fingers back and again press and pull.
We're going all the way over the top of the head so to the crown,
Press and pull.
Keep moving your fingers back to the back of the head,
Applying some pressure and as you exhale pull.
Keep moving all the way to the back of the head with that press and pull action.
Find your way to the base of the skull,
Big inhale,
Press and pull.
Now move your fingers down to your neck,
Three gentle presses and pull outward remembering to inhale as you pull as you press and exhale through your mouth as you pull.
Good.
Now bring the hands down to your shoulders with your fingers facing back behind you,
Grasping the shoulders.
Relax your elbows here,
Take a mindful moment and a breath.
Now pull your hands over your shoulders two more times,
Grab hold of the shoulders and pull the hands downward.
Now bring both hands to the center of the chest at the heart,
One hand on top of the other,
Close your eyes and just notice your body's response to this practice.
You just moved a lot of energy away from your head.
Now bring your hands down to your thighs and just smooth your hands up and down your thighs and then settle them in one spot with the intention of grounding this practice into your body so you can take this with you throughout your day.
Begin to elongate your exhalations as you just relax in your chair for a moment.
Begin to notice how your low ribs are expanding and contracting with your breath.
Perhaps you even hear your body breathing.
Now sense your tailbone,
Your sit bones and feel your bottom in the chair.
Feel the warmth of your hands against your thighs.
Bring your attention down your legs to the bottom of your feet,
Feeling just the soles of the feet,
The soles of the feet.
Now shift your attention back to your heart.
Slip your attention deep within your heart,
Touching the deepest part of you.
Feel that support that you have within,
Sensing the presence that is you.
Feel that heartfelt I am presence,
Perhaps affirming I am strong,
Clear,
Calm,
Confident.
I am strong,
Clear,
Calm and confident.
Let that radiate throughout your entire being.
Wishing you deep peace,
My friends.
Namaste.
