Arrive in your body,
In this moment,
Now,
Now,
Now.
Allow your eyes to close and your gaze to turn within.
Start to slow the breath.
Relax your muscles of the face,
Of the upper back,
Middle back,
Lower back.
And allow yourself to lean back energetically.
Lean back in the support of the divine energy of positive energy source,
Or the universe,
Or God.
Whatever term or word you resonate with.
Keep following the breath in and out through your nostrils.
With every out breath,
Allowing you to be grounded into your seat,
Relaxing one percent more any tense muscles,
Releasing the grip to any expectation,
Letting thoughts have less power over your experience of the now.
When we are used to going through life with the weight at the top of the feet,
Leaning forward,
Giving all of ourselves to others,
Thinking perhaps that whenever we receive,
We then owe the other person equal amounts of what we were given.
And perhaps this causes an imbalance within your energy.
Maybe it feels like your energy is leaking,
Always giving,
Being there for others,
Listening to others,
Responding to other people's asks of you.
And if that's the case,
Just become aware of how those words land in your body.
How does it feel in your body to remember this part of you who is always giving externally to others and leaking energy?
You can even imagine like if you were leaning forward like your weight towards the toes or towards the knees if you are seated right now.
And notice if it's possible for you to come back to that leaning back energy of finding the balance at the root of your spine,
In the middle of the feet,
In the middle of your being,
In alignment with the equilibrium of giving and receiving.
You have it in you,
The power to be equal in giving and receiving.
Keep focusing on your breath and allowing each exhale to relax you and anchor you more into the now,
Into your body.
When you are ready,
Try to feel the heart beating like if you were actually in the back of the heart,
Your awareness that is,
Feeling the beat,
The reminder of that aliveness.
And try to relax with the knowing that it's always there,
Supporting your body,
Keeping you alive,
Working so hard.
And notice the space around the heart,
Inside the rib cage.
Notice how physically your body is supporting the heart.
The rib cage is supportive.
It's keeping the heart safe.
What or who is keeping you safe?
What or who is supporting you?
Keep focusing on your breath and allow the in of the breath to fill and surround the space around the heart with loving awareness,
With gratitude for the hard work of the heart.
With every in breath,
Allow your body to be surrounded by the same loving energy.
Allow your body,
Wholly as it is,
To be supported by the presence of the breath,
Now,
Now,
Now.
With each inhale,
You are not only bringing oxygen to all of your cells,
You are reminding who you are,
Of the beauty and grace that is available within you.
You are reminding the wholeness of who you are,
That you too deserve to receive,
That you too are able to receive.
You are reminding that wholeness of who you are,
That without receiving,
There is an imbalance.
Feel the gratitude for the availability that is within you to receive from the heart space.
And if it helps,
You may open your arms by your sides.
The arms are the extension of the heart.
And by opening and widening the arms on either side of your body,
Feel the length of the extension of the love.
Feel it from the heart to the inner elbow,
To the wrist,
To the tips of the fingers on one side.
Feel the love and gratitude,
The ability to receive equally on the other side from the heart,
Through the inner elbow to the wrist,
Palm and fingertips.
You even feel it behind the heart at the upper back.
Notice how open of a being you are.
Find a smile at that heart and a smile on your face and feel the love,
The receiving nature that is within you with arms wide open and allow the beautiful energy of support to be showered over you.
Imagine it the way that supports you the most.
If your arms are open,
Very gently relax the arms back down with the same open energy.
Now I invite you to imagine that you were your own best friend.
Imagine that you,
Just like your best friend,
Would receive your love.
How would you treat your best friend?
Would you expect your best friend to give you something in return if you shower them with love,
With appreciation,
With support?
What has prevented you from treating yourself the same way as you treat your best friend?
Are you willing to shift out of that old harmful habit and start to receive with open arms?
Take a few deep breaths in and out through the nose.
Beautiful.
Very slowly,
Bring the palms to the chest.
Perhaps the left palm,
Which is the more feminine,
Flowy,
Restful,
Receiving energy,
Is facing your heart first.
And apply a gentle pressure at the heart,
Like if you could hug the heart,
Hug your chest.
Demonstrate the support that you have available within you to receive,
To hold space for yourself,
To release any guilt for receiving,
Any expectation to owe someone something.
And relax your shoulders while you are hugging yourself.
Take one more deep breath in through the nose.
Open the mouth and exhale.
Find a smile at the heart and a smile on your face.
May you feel grounded and balanced within yourself to receive fully with an open heart,
With arms wide open,
Just as you would want your best friend to receive.
You are worthy of love,
Of abundance.
You are worthy of calm,
Peaceful,
Balanced energy.
May you receive the beauty in being with any awareness that comes through for you as you practice this meditation.
You are safe.
You are supported.
You have it in you.
