Begin by finding a position that allows you to feel grounded and open.

A posture that invites a sense of both dignity and ease.

As you settle into this space,

Take a deep,

Intentional breath.

Letting the air envelop you like a gentle embrace.

And as you exhale,

Release any immediate tensions or tightness within your body.

Now envision yourself standing at the edge of a tranquil forest.

The trees,

Ancient and wise,

Standing tall and inviting.

Their leaves whispering stories of forgiveness and renewal.

With each step you take into this forest,

Allow yourself to feel supported and nurtured by the earth beneath your feet.

Reminding you that,

Like these towering trees,

You too have the strength to grow and heal.

As you venture deeper into the heart of the forest,

You come across a clear,

Serene stream.

Its waters flowing gently,

A mirror to the sky above.

And in its clarity,

You see reflections of your own experiences with forgiveness.

Take a moment to observe these reflections without judgement,

Simply allowing them to be.

Approaching the stream,

You find a smooth stone at your feet.

Pick up this stone and imagine infusing it with a memory or feeling of hurt that you are carrying.

A moment that calls for forgiveness.

Notice the weight of this stone in your hands,

The coolness against your skin.

And acknowledge the weight of holding on to this hurt.

Now,

With a heart open to the possibility of letting go,

Gently toss the stone into the stream.

Watch as it ripples the water,

Your pain and grievances dispersing with each wave,

Slowly but surely being carried away.

This act is not erasing the past,

But choosing not to let it hold you captive any longer.

As the ripples fade and the water returns to its calm state,

Reflect on the space that releasing this burden has created in your heart.

Forgiveness does not condone or forget the wrong,

But it frees you from the chains of resentment,

Opening pathways to healing and peace.

Take a moment to fill this newly created space with thoughts of love,

Kindness and compassion.

First towards yourself and then extending outward to others.

Imagine these feelings as light,

Radiating from your heart,

Illuminating the forest around you,

Connecting you to a world in a web of forgiveness and understanding.

As this meditation comes to a close,

Take a deep cleansing breath,

Carrying with you the lightness of forgiveness.

Gently bring your awareness back to the present,

Feeling grounded and refreshed.

And when you are ready,

Open your eyes,

Ready to move forward with an open heart and a renewed mind.

And when you are ready,

Open your eyes,

Ready to move forward with an open heart and a renewed sense of peace.
