It's not easy to find happiness in ourselves.
And it is not possible to find it elsewhere.

Today's meditation focuses on connecting to everything you already are.
So we begin here by gently closing your eyes and taking a deep breath in through the nose.
Feeling your lower belly expand.
And exhale as you let it all go.
Letting your breath find a natural rhythm now.
Feeling the consistent rise and fall of your chest as you continue to rest exactly as you are.
We often forget we are human beings infused with life.
To look upon ourselves as miracles and a thing of beauty.
To take time from doing and becoming.
To simply look and to really see our true reflection and all that we carry inside.
Take a deep breath in and exhale as you let go a little more.
You need nothing in this moment other than a body that breathes and air.
Feel the rhythm of harmony that exists between them.
I invite you here to take both hands now and place them gently over your eyes.
A silent nod for the gift of sight.
For the gift of seeing.
To see a smile stretch out across the face of someone you love.
To see the way shadows and light dance across floors.
Breathe in and feel all your eyes allow you to see.
Now placing your hands gently over your ears.
As we recognize the gift of sound.
For the gift of hearing.
To hear laughter.
To hear the air flowing through you as you breathe.
Breathe in and feel all your ears allow you to hear.
And placing both of your hands very gently over your throat.
As we recognize the gift of your voice.
For the gift of speech.
For the ability to speak words.
To express love through sound.
Breathe in and feel all your voice brings into this world.
And placing your hands over your heart.
As we recognize the gift of feeling.
For the gift of your rhythmic heart beating.
To know the feeling of being in love.
For the reminder that you are still alive.
Breathing in and out.
We are all meant to find what is hidden inside of us.
It is us we are meant to find.
So I invite you to pause.
To stop whatever it is you have been doing.
And to look gently within.
To bring your attention to your heart center.
Where your heart lives.
Noticing that to find this place within,
You must slow down.
This relationship is soft and porous.
It's a relationship that grows with time.
Take a final deep breath in.
And exhale as you let it all go.
Can you still feel your soul here with you?
You are always here.
You are always this close.
I welcome you to bring your mind back into your body.
As you remember where you were just before we began.
And when you feel ready,
