This is a guided practice first focusing on noticing the breath. Once you notice the breath become aware of the body. Now focused on the breath and the body we turn attention to our chakras/energy centres. It's a useful introduction to different ways of meditation. It will help relax cleanse and allow one to feel that meditation is accessible.

Bell Allow yourself to be in a comfortable position.

Just focus on the breathing through your nose.

Just feel the air coming in and going out.

And just breathe.

Don't worry about any thoughts or distractions.

Anytime you lose your way,

Come back to the breathing in your nose.

Take a deep breath and hold it for two seconds and then breathe out through your nose.

And take a deeper breath.

This time try to hold it for five seconds and breathe out through your nose.

And let's take one more deep breath.

This time hold your breath for seven seconds if you can and breathe out through your nose.

Allow your breathing to find its own rhythm,

Focusing on the air coming into your nostrils and moving out.

Now bring your attention to your body.

In your mind's eye just become conscious of your feet,

Your ankles,

Your ankles,

And feel your lower legs.

Feel your knees.

Be conscious of your thighs.

Be conscious of your thighs and up into your hips.

Just allow whatever feelings you feel.

Be aware of your groin,

Your lower stomach.

Follow up to your ribs.

Feel them rise and fall as you breathe through your nose.

And feel your chest.

Become conscious of your glutes,

Your lower back,

And all those muscles all the way up to your shoulders.

And just breathe through your nose.

Feel your fingers,

Your hands,

Your wrists.

Be conscious of your forearms and your elbows up to your biceps and triceps,

Into your shoulders.

Notice your neck back in front.

Feel the base of your skull,

Your ears,

Your jaw,

Your mouth,

Your lips,

Your tongue,

Your teeth.

Be conscious of your face,

Your eyes,

Your eyes,

Your forehead,

And come to the top of your head.

And just breathe through your nose.

This is your body,

With all its feelings and all its muscles and all its joints.

And breathing through your nose.

And just focus on that air coming in and going out.

Cast your mind back to this morning when you woke up.

How did you greet the day in your bed?

What sort of mood were you in?

How slow or how quick did you get going?

What routine did you follow?

Perhaps you showered or had breakfast.

How did you choose what clothes to wear?

How was your mood?

Just take your time and just recall that moment in the morning.

How did your day progress?

Where did you go and what did you do in the early part of the day?

And who did you interact with?

What did you see and how did you feel?

What did you do at midday?

Did you eat?

Did you work?

And how did you head into your afternoon?

And what can you recall that's positive from today?

Did someone make you laugh?

Did you smile at someone?

And how was your mood this evening?

How did you feel before you prepared for this meditation?

And how does it feel now?

What changes have happened in your mood from this morning when you woke up to now?

And as you focus on the breathing in your nose,

Let the day go.

The now is all we have and the breath in our nose.

So just breathe.

And take some time and just focus on your chakras in your body,

These energy centers.

Let's focus on the very top of our head.

This chakra is purple in color.

This energy is the link with the universe and with the divine.

As you breathe through your nose,

Try to imagine this purple energy entering your body at this point and filling you up.

Bring your attention to that spot in the middle of your forehead.

You can see the energy of your body.

You can feel the energy of your body.

You can feel the energy of your body.

You can feel the energy of your body.

Bring your attention to that spot in the middle of your forehead.

This chakra is dark blue in color,

Represents our intuition and the things that we can know without knowing.

And as you breathe through your nose,

Try to imagine the air entering this place on your body and filling you up with this intuitive energy.

Then bring your attention to your throat,

This chakra is sky blue in color.

This energy represents communication,

Clarity of word,

Being able to say what's happening for you.

So as you breathe through your nose,

Try and imagine this sky blue energy coming into your body at this place and breathe.

Bring your attention to your heart chakra.

Your heart chakra is green in color.

This is the energy of love.

In this space,

We try to recall a moment,

Any moment at all,

Where we knew somebody else loved us.

And just hold on to that idea for a moment.

And try to recall another moment,

The feeling you have when you love someone else.

Just hold on to that feeling.

And so these are the energies we associate with love.

As you breathe through your nose,

Try to imagine this love energy entering you at your heart chakra and breathe.

Make the focus a little bit lower on the body,

Below the diaphragm,

Above the navel.

This energy is yellow.

This is our sense of self,

Our identity,

And who we are.

As you breathe through your nose,

Try to pull in this yellow energy into your body at this point.

And now take your energy still lower,

Just below the waist.

This chakra is orange in color.

This chakra is full of sensuality and full of creativity.

As you breathe through your nose,

Imagine this sensual creative energy filling your body at this point.

And we bring our attention to that spot right underneath us,

The chakra that's so red in place of security,

Of rootedness,

Of safety.

As you breathe in through your nose,

Breathe in this safety and security and allow it to fill your body.

And focus now on the air in your nose.

Just feel the air coming in and going out.

All you have to do is breathe.

Just gently take your time,

Take your attention down from your head,

All the way through your physical body down to your feet.

And just breathe through your nose.

And gently and slowly become aware of where you are.

Open your eyes,

Flex and wriggle your toes and fingers and come back to your present space.

And blasts.

I enjoyed how calming this was. Should have done it at the end of the day instead of in the morning, but I will definitely use this one again.
