Hi and welcome.
Today I invite you to connect inwards and start to gain clarity on what it really is you desire,
So you can create an aligned future with more ease.
In our culture,
With all the expectations,
Pressures,
And witnessing the extraordinary times we are in,
It has become normal having a dysregulated nervous system and living with all the issues that cause us.
When we are in an activated way of being,
We usually set intentions and try to create new habits based on what we have been taught to do or feel we should do.
This is deeply disconnecting us from who we truly are.
It is setting us up to fail.
The truth is we cannot expect to succeed in building new habits or creating sustainable change from this place of being when our nervous systems are afraid.
Today I invite you to slow down with me and start to connect back in with yourself.
I am going to guide you through a short yet powerful vagus nerve exercise so your whole being can calm down and soften.
From this connected way of being,
I invite you to take some time to reflect on what has worked for you in the last few months,
What has not worked for you,
What you are ready to let go of,
And what you truly desire to bring forward.
When we start to gain clarity on what it really is we desire,
It becomes easier to set ourselves up for success.
Before we get started,
Please get a pen and notepad.
So let's get started,
Shall we?
Make yourself comfortable.
Take a nice deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Notice and observe for a moment how it feels when your body expands as you inhale and how it feels when your body contracts as you exhale.
There's nowhere to be apart from here in this moment in your body.
Take another nice deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Now bring one of your hands to your heart.
Just rest it on your chest and notice how this feels.
Maybe notice the warmth of your hand on your chest for a moment.
Tune in with yourself.
Do you like the pressure of the hand on your chest?
Or would it feel more supportive to you to press down a little more or soften the hand a little more?
Just notice and observe what feels best to you and continue resting your hand on your chest and heart space.
Once you feel comfortable,
Take your other hand and put it onto the back of your neck.
Notice how it feels.
Most of us tend to grab onto our neck when we first do this.
That's okay.
It's time to soften the grip and have the most feather-like touch you can have on your neck.
Keep both hands where they are at.
Notice the warmth of them.
Maybe notice your breath soften slightly.
I invite you to continue to observe the sensations you notice from your hands and the places they touch while also starting to observe your breath.
Let's stay there for a moment.
You might start to notice a change of felt temperature or maybe you feel an urge to yawn or swallow or your eyelids start to flutter.
That's all normal.
It's just some of the signals that show that your vagus nerve comes back into connection.
Stay here for a moment longer and observe.
Once you feel complete,
Release your hands,
Move your body slightly and look around the room for a moment or out a window and find something you like to look at.
Just notice it for a moment.
Maybe it's a photo,
A pet sleeping or a color or tree you like.
Just look at it for a moment,
Connecting to the beauty it shares with you.
Now it's time to bring out your notepad and pen.
I invite you to jot down everything that comes to mind without editing.
If at any time you feel like you need more time to reflect,
Feel free to hit the pause button and continue with the recording and the following questions when you are ready.
Ask yourself,
What do I like to celebrate from the last few months or the past year?
Write anything down that comes to mind,
No matter how big or small it might seem to you.
What is the most important thing I created,
Became,
Realized or achieved in this year in my inner and outer life?
And why?
Did you notice I put achieved last?
As it comes after us creating and becoming,
Not like most masculine constructs tell us first.
What is my biggest surprise and the most fun I had?
If there was a surprise,
Note it down.
If you feel like there was none,
That's fine too.
We are just building awareness.
What were my greatest challenges?
As you write them down,
Notice how your body feels.
If at any time you sense your body is tensing up,
Pause for a moment,
Put one of your hands onto your chest and breathe till you notice a softening again,
So you are ready to continue.
If I could travel back,
What advice would I give myself?
What,
If anything,
Would I do differently?
What am I holding on to that is not mine to carry?
Such a choosy question.
Where are you overextending yourself or feel like you have to or you should?
Note it all down.
No need to think about it.
What is my soul whispering to me?
If it's hard for you to sense this,
That's okay.
Write down what you notice is feeling energizing and joyful to you.
This brings us to the last question for today.
What am I ready to bring into my life and how will it feel once this has entered my life?
Make sure to continuously check your filters for shoulds or have tos and write down the things you feel are calling you that feel life-giving,
Joyful,
Liberating.
Becoming aware of these things helps us to create aligned intentions,
To move closer to the things that are truly serving us and are not just another try to fix something or create something out of alignment.
Thank you for showing up so openly for yourself today.
As you start to connect back within and gain clarity on what it really is that is calling you,
The universe can start to transpire in your favor and bring in the synchronicities that move the needle forward for you.
If you like to take this new awareness deeper,
