After creating a solid connection to the role of observation, unattached compassionate witnessing, in part one; we move on to witness the parts of ourselves often exiled because they hold painful emotions. We will create a new somatic story for them where they are met with compassion and tenderness. So that they can begin to be held in love instead of influencing us behind the scenes. Therefore creating an embodied experience of self-love, not just an ethereal conception of it.

Hi,

And welcome to the second meditation in this mirror work series,

All to redefine your relationship with yourself and the way that you view yourself.

So come in to sit or stand in front of your mirror,

And close your eyes here.

The journey for today is going deeper into the places within us that we may not want to look at,

The places that hold deep emotions,

The places that need comfort.

So as you arrive here into this meditation,

Breathe into your heart space.

Using each breath,

Serve to energize the heart,

Bringing all of your focus here.

Our reflection holds not just the information that our eyes take in,

But as we meditate upon it,

We get to see all the layers of perception that we add to it.

It becomes a mirror into our own ways of relating to ourselves,

To the emotions alive within us,

Conscious or subconscious.

So this mirror work is sacred,

It is deep,

Beyond just the conscious mind.

Bring one hand to your heart.

May we open this meditation with an intention,

An intention to see yourself fully,

And an intention to let yourself be seen for all the layers within you.

The journey for today is going deeper into the places within us that we may not want to look at,

The places that hold deep emotions,

The places that need comfort.

So taking another minute to breathe here,

To connect to the sensations within your body and feeling yourself come into the sensation of being present in this moment.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes,

Breathing in and breathing out.

So I want you to locate the place within you that doesn't feel good enough,

The part that wishes it got more love and acknowledgement,

The part that has been carrying weight.

Give yourself permission to see this in your reflection.

Where is this story you are holding?

Where is it occupying space in your body?

Is there a sensation that arises with it?

Give yourself permission to observe,

Just as we did in the last practice.

Witnessing this part of yourself,

Acknowledge its pain.

I hear you and concentrating on the parts of your body that you feel it the most,

As if you can bring all of your loving attention into your hands.

Use your hands to offer this love into this part of your body.

Breathing this part of your body with unconditional compassion.

Breathe into it.

Allow your body to respond how it wants to.

Breathing in as much support as it feels comfortable.

Perhaps you have the urge to massage or use some pressure on this part of your body,

All moving from a place of love.

Allow yourself to offer the support to your body,

How you feel intuitively to do so.

Perhaps this includes singing or humming,

Continuing to look in the mirror and witness yourself giving and receiving.

Finding a new circuit of energy within this space.

And as you feel ready,

Let us bring a new story into this place,

A story that you are safe and supported.

You have every right to be confident that you are loved beyond any conceivable measure.

Welcome this sensation into your body,

Let it shift around this story into this embodiment,

Holding this lens in yourself.

Knowing that any time you need,

You can always come into this intimate place with yourself.

You have a bottomless well of compassion within you,

A limitless river of love and support.

And if you haven't already,

Slowly let go of this part of your body.

And come to situate yourself,

Rearrange your body posture to be one that expresses the energy of knowing you are supported.

An embodiment of a story that serves you to feel good.

Breathing in and breathing out.

And looking into your reflection now,

Confirming within yourself this place of power,

Resilient power that comes from knowing the place of unconditional love within you.

Breathing in and breathing out.

One of the most profound acts of wellbeing we can offer ourselves is our presence,

Simply to feel and acknowledge.

Closing this practice by repeating to yourself three times,

I see you and I love you.

Take your time after closing this practice to journal any insights and to pause and integrate before moving on with your day.
