Welcome to the story series.
This series is about the process of honoring the human experience of feeling.
And it's important to recognize that meditation is not about denying or eliminating our feelings.
Every emotion is a part of the human experience.
No person,
No life,
No matter how zen or wonderful,
Is immune to the feeling experience.
Meditation is about acknowledging and honoring our emotions,
Which in turn creates space to observe them from a place of acceptance and peace.
This recording is the shared story of loneliness.
And so allowing yourself in this moment to be fully present,
To come fully into your body and breath.
I am here,
Breathing,
Also fully present,
Connected and committed to this process of sharing.
Breathing deeply,
Feeling your body relax and becoming heavy.
Feel your shoulders drop,
Feel your forehead relax,
Allow your eyes to relax.
Feel your cheeks relax,
Feel your jaw let go.
Allow your fingers and toes to tense and then let go.
With each breath,
Imagine that your mind softens and random thoughts flow easily across its landscape.
Allowing your attention to go within,
To imagine that we are sharing this space and time.
You are here,
I am here.
You,
Me,
We,
Us,
Not alone,
Together.
Sharing in this moment the story of loneliness.
And as we sit together,
Acknowledging and honoring the presence of loneliness,
We realize that miraculously we are not alone.
You are here,
I am here.
Through the reality of technology and the magic of energy,
Even through space and time,
We are together.
We are not alone.
As you breathe,
I breathe.
Not alone.
Here,
Now,
In this moment.
Divinely connected.
We are guided,
Protected and blessed.
Breathing deeply into this space.
Allowing the body to relax even more completely.
Each breath creating a little more space between you and the emotion of loneliness.
I too am breathing deeply into this space with each breath.
Creating enough space to observe loneliness.
Breathe as I am breathing.
Observe.
Notice.
Can you feel where loneliness lives in your body?
Just notice.
When you acknowledge loneliness,
Where do you feel it?
Where do you ache with it?
Breathe.
Allow.
We are here together.
Breathing.
Acknowledging loneliness.
Honoring this very human experience that is the story of loneliness.
I am here with you.
We are not alone.
And here we sit.
Breathing together.
Calling loneliness by name.
Observing where it lives in the body.
Just noticing.
And that place where loneliness lives in the body.
Breathe into that space as I am breathing into that space.
Willing to embrace it.
To let go of resistance and that wanting to push it away.
I am here with you.
I feel it too.
I notice and honor and willingly embrace loneliness.
Breathe.
Open your heart.
You are safe.
We are not alone.
Imagine that you can embrace loneliness.
With an open heart you can feel it in your arms.
Bring warmth and love to this experience of loneliness.
And I am with you.
And if you feel that resistance.
If loneliness feels too much.
Embrace it as if it were a small child feeling frightened and alone.
Hold it gently.
Soothe it.
Knowing that this story of loneliness is temporary.
You are not alone.
We are not alone.
You.
Me.
Through the reality of technology and the magic of divine energy.
We are not alone.
And this story of loneliness is shared between us and every human being on the planet.
It is a human story.
It is ours.
And we are not alone.
