It will help you become peaceful and confident in your path, be ok with your timing, and focus on your true goals and needs. You can do it at any time of the day, whenever you feel that fear of falling behind blocks and freezes you. Write down your realizations and feelings after the practice in your meditation journal.

This is meditation for the fear of falling behind.

Let's start by taking a comfortable position with the back straight and finding our breath just paying your attention to every breath you take,

To every inhale and every exhale.

Kindly observing every sensation from breathing.

Arriving here and now and start to let go of any tension you have in your physical body with every out-breath.

Releasing,

Relaxing,

Letting go coming back to your breath from every thought,

Every distraction,

Calmly coming back.

Now please find the emotion of fear of falling behind in your body.

Just observe the raw emotion you have with kind attention,

With compassion,

Without judgment.

Feel its boundaries,

Its texture,

Its volume,

Its density,

Its temperature,

Maybe it even has a color just observe,

No need to do anything with it.

Just breathe and allow,

Accept and say to yourself my body reflects fear of falling behind,

My body reflects fear of falling behind.

It's okay,

Breathe and leave space.

And now let's move even deeper and observe what's behind that fear.

Is it shame that you're not doing your best?

Is it shame that you're not good enough?

Breathe,

Leave space,

Accept these feelings,

Maybe put one hand on your chest,

Feel the warmth of your hand and with compassion say to yourself it's okay to feel shame.

I'm just a human,

It's natural,

It's okay,

I'm okay.

Breathe,

Relax and give space.

Maybe you feel anxiety about the future,

Maybe you're feeling unsafe.

What insecurities lie beneath the surface?

Connect to them,

Observe them,

Acknowledge.

Just be aware and be compassionate,

Give yourself permission to be human.

It's okay,

You're okay.

Breathe,

Relax and give space.

And now let's move even deeper and observe the beliefs beneath the feelings.

Is there a belief in your mind that things could and should be different?

Is there a belief that fear gives you motivation to move forward?

Or is there inner tyrant who dictates what you should have already done and should do in the future?

Who is this inner tyrant and why do you believe him?

Breathe and just observe,

No judgment,

No resistance.

Just compassionately observe,

Breathe.

It's okay.

Observe your own thoughts and beliefs like clouds in the sky without following them.

You are the sky and thoughts are just clouds.

You have this power not to follow them.

You are the sky.

Ask yourself do these beliefs make me stronger?

Do they serve me in a good way?

And remember thoughts are not facts.

Let's consider new beliefs,

Let's offer them to ourselves and see if they make us stronger.

What if the milestones you set seem impossible to reach simply because they are not in the right place?

What if you got in touch with your own personal values and listened to what your heart truly wants in life?

What would you go after?

And what would you let go of?

You have permission to walk your own unique path and it's okay not to be 100% confident.

You can be brave and afraid at the same time and it's okay to take time.

Time to follow your dream and what is important to you.

And do you really need fear to keep moving forward?

There is a difference between anxiety and motivation.

Fear tells you if you don't do this then this horrible thing will happen.

Motivation is I'm doing this because I want this.

So take a moment to focus on what is important to you and how you want to feel now and in the future.

And what if everything you have chosen to do until now has always been the right path regardless of what you think you were supposed to do?

Remember wherever you go there you are.

Can you let go of any shoulds right now?

And again feel the warmth of your hand on your chest and compassionately offer yourself kind and supportive words like I'm here,

I'm safe,

I'm doing my best,

It's all going to work out.

Taking time doesn't mean failing.

I value progress over perfection.

I choose my own path and my own pace.

May all of us find our own path and our own pace.

May all of us be happy and free from fear of falling behind.

And when you feel ready you may open your eyes.

Thank you.
