This meditation is perfect for any time you're experiencing anxious energy, worry/concern, or overthinking. It allows your brain to rest and you to drop back into your body. Includes: box breathing + a brief visualization to melt any tension. Optional journaling prompts: If you feel open, curious, and resourced today, let your journal be a safe container. 1) Name it: List anything that feels connected to anxiety right now (big or small). 2) Set it down: Don’t fix it. Place each item on the page like you’re setting it on a table. Let the page hold it. 3) Breathe + release: Every few lines: slow inhale… longer exhale. Let the exhale be “letting go.” 4) No judgment: You’re safe to be honest here. 5) Re-orient to gratitude: Write 3 things you’re grateful for (even tiny ones). Life can be hard, AND there is still good here. There is space for all your feelings. 6) Thank you for listening 7) Seal the container Go gently. Nothing specific needs to happen here. You've got this!

Good morning and welcome to The Artist's Morning.

My name is Darius and I am so grateful that you and I get this time together.

Our practice today is on the theme of anxiety,

Overthinking,

Those moments in life where our minds are worried and concerned.

Life has a lot of stimulation,

A lot of things happening all the time,

And each of us is on a different journey,

Different seasons.

And so with your permission,

Our practice today will be me guiding us gently,

Lovingly back into our bodies.

Anxiety,

Overthinking,

Worry,

Those energies belong to your head,

Your beautiful,

Amazing,

Hard-working head.

And today,

We're going to invite your head to take a little break,

A little rest,

And we're going to move into our hearts,

Into our bodies.

So let's begin,

If your eyes are open,

I'd like to invite you to close them now as we go inwards together and just take a moment to feel what's here.

How is your heart this morning?

How is your heart?

And if you can't feel your heart,

Or even if you can feel your heart,

I want to invite you to make a little bit of physical contact with your heart.

It's very simple.

You can place one hand on your heart,

One hand just above your belly button,

Nice and slow,

And just connect here with your heart,

Taking deeper breaths,

Reminding your heart that it is safe here,

It's allowed to take up more space here,

It's allowed to stretch and grow here.

Place your hands down,

Or if you like,

You can leave them.

We're going to do a little bit of box breathing.

It's very simple.

We breathe in for four,

We hold our breath for four,

We breathe out for four,

We hold our breath for four,

And we continue doing that cycle.

And so let's begin breathing in two,

Three,

Four,

Hold two,

Three,

Four,

Out two,

Three,

Four,

Hold two,

Three,

Four,

In two,

Three,

Four,

Hold two,

Out two,

Hold two,

In two,

Hold two,

Out two,

Last time,

In two,

Out two,

Hold two,

Returning to your normal breath here and just noticing if anything feels different.

And we're going to allow a gentle softness to work its way from the tops of our head all the way down,

Down,

Down to the bottom of our feet.

Starting at your crown,

It's like the gentlest tickle soothing,

Calming,

Like a million little angels,

Teeny tiny angels,

Blessing yourselves,

Working down your forehead and everything they come in contact with just softens,

Relaxes down your eyes,

Down your cheeks,

Your jaw,

Relaxing,

Softening your jaw as they work down your neck,

Your shoulders drop and any tension you might be holding just melts away,

Down your back.

These angels work down your arms,

Your hands,

Your fingertips.

This is pleasurable weight they place on you that just lightens everything.

Down your chest,

Your heart,

Your lungs,

Your abdomen,

Your hips,

Your pelvic region.

This warm,

Loving softness works its way down your thighs,

Your knees,

Your shins,

Your ankles,

All the way down to your feet,

The tops of your feet,

In between your toes,

The bottoms of your feet.

And now you find yourself in this incredible radiant bubble,

Golden bubble around your entire body,

Holding you,

Soothing and calming every cell,

Transmitting energy to yourselves,

To your being,

To your spirit.

Let's take a nice deep breath here,

Breathing in,

Allowing new,

Fresh energy into your system,

Big exhale out,

Anything you no longer need,

Letting it go.

Calm,

Soothing energy in with your inhale,

Letting go of anxious,

Worrisome energy with your exhale.

Breathing in,

Peaceful energy with your inhale,

Letting go of tension with your exhale.

Breathing in,

Healthy,

Vital energy with your inhale,

Letting go of any unhealthy cells,

Any sickness with your exhale.

And just feel what it's like to be here now.

Today is a new day.

Today is a fresh canvas.

We are grateful for yesterday and all our yesterdays.

And we choose to let go of any attachment to the past that is no longer serving us.

And we choose to pull that energy into this present moment.

Today is a new day.

Let us prepare for this new day.

Tall,

Gentle spine,

Feet grounded into the floor,

Into the earth.

Bone up,

Ready to receive,

Heart open,

Voice bold and brave.

Take a nice deep breath in this position and feel the strength,

The grounding,

The support available to you here,

Now.

This is our last song this morning and I'm mostly going to stay quiet.

But before I do,

I want to let you know that if you are interested in receiving from the universe,

The universe is here with open hearts ready to pour into you.

If there is something you are looking for,

Support,

Guidance,

Calming energy,

Confident energy,

Or something totally different,

All you need to do is sit in that position.

Tall spine,

Feet grounded,

Heart open,

Crown up,

Ready to receive.

So if you're interested in receiving,

Take a deep breath.

Allow the universe to lovingly pour into you now.

Bravo,

Dear artist.

You made it to the end of another meditation and for that I am so grateful.

I cherish this time we have together.

It's a privilege for me,

A tremendous privilege to be able to go deep like this with incredible humans just like you.

So thank you.

Let's take a deep breath here to close our practice together.

Breathing in,

Big breath out.

For those that are joining us live at the artist morning,

We're going to continue our exploration today.

I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock and share a journaling prompt on our theme today.

And of course if you're catching us on a replay,

Perhaps on insight timer,

You can do the same.

Thank you once again for meditating with me.

My name is Darius and I will see you next time.
