As we begin today,
I want you to accept,
I want you to welcome exactly where you are and exactly what you're carrying with you right now.
Some days it's a little bit easier to settle into a pose.
Some days our minds are a little bit more steady and other days they're not.
And so when you first begin to close your eyes,
You'll probably get a sense of where you are and just accept it,
Welcome it,
And we're going to work with that tonight.
And as we always begin starting to tune into our bodies,
Using those bodies as a focal point to start to bring us into the moment inside ourselves.
As you begin to first start to focus and check in with the body,
Notice the areas that are calling your attention first.
Oftentimes those are the areas that might feel a little bit uncomfortable or tight or tense.
And maybe that's true for you tonight,
Maybe it's not.
As we are checking in,
We are keeping it as simple as possible.
So you'll just say,
My right shoulder in this one specific point feels a little bit of pressure.
And that's as detailed as you're going to get with this.
We're not going to associate a meaning as to why our shoulder in this exact point feels tight.
We're not going to associate a feeling with it either.
We're continuing to explore and check in with your body and making the decision whether you'd like to maybe just stay with a couple sensations,
Really exploring those areas of the body,
Or whether you would rather explore the entire body and just kind of briefly scan through the entire body.
So the choice is yours,
Whatever feels the most comfortable for you right now.
And if you're choosing a couple areas,
Really examining them.
So if something feels tight,
Do you know the exact space this tightness takes up?
Is there a color associated with it?
Does it have smooth,
Defined edges,
Or is it more smoky?
And you might not know the answers to all of those questions.
So just tap into what you do know.
And now beginning to move on to our breath,
If you have not gone there already.
Noticing your gentle inhale,
And then your exhale as it releases from the body.
And examining it with just as much awareness as you did with the physical body.
So noticing how long that inhale travels down through the torso.
And then from what point within the body,
Within the torso,
Does it move to the exhale?
And sometimes our breath even moves past the body outside.
Noticing if your breath right now in this exact moment feels fluid,
Or maybe it's a little jittery and stopping a bit.
And now we're going to begin to add on to our breath.
So the next time you inhale,
I want you to count the length of your inhale.
And as you exhale,
Use that exact same count.
This is our sum of ritti,
Our equal part breath.
And with each round of your sum of ritti breath,
Allowing the body to settle a little bit more.
Allowing the body to release,
Surrender.
And as you surrender,
Really begin to relax into the support of the surface below you.
And finishing up,
We'll do two more rounds.
And after you finish those rounds,
Bringing your attention into the center of your chest,
Where your heart chakra is located.
And as you start to enter this area,
Maybe even imagining that there are shutters,
Shutters like a window opening up.
And your awareness and your attention begins to enter this area.
And as you enter this space,
Beginning to travel to the back of your heart center.
So maybe even imagining it looks like a cave.
And you can just bring your awareness that way.
Maybe you can even imagine as if you're walking to the back of the cave.
And within this cave,
There is a purple flame.
So a flame just like from a fire.
Beginning to notice that this flame is glowing beautifully.
And each time you inhale,
It becomes a little bit brighter.
And as you exhale,
The warmth from this fire expands through this cave within the heart center.
And as this flame begins to grow larger and brighter,
I want you to begin to place anything that is not serving you right now inside that flame.
So you can stay very vague,
Whether you just want to put in the word worry or fear.
Or maybe perhaps you want to put in something a bit more specific that is holding you back right now.
And trusting that this flame will take on whatever is not serving you.
Releasing it into the flame.
And after you have released everything that you don't want to hold on to anymore,
Let's now invite in the word trust.
You can even imagine as if the word trust is traveling into that heart center and just taking a seat.
Feeling the energy associated with the word trust.
Feeling the release,
The support.
Continuing to place this word within the heart center.
And knowing that it can fill this entire space.
Feel everything associated with the word trust.
Feeling the energy associated with it.
Feeling the reassurance,
The strength that comes with placing the word trust inside of your heart center.
And being very confident that this word is filling this space and helping you right now.
Continuing for a couple more moments of placing the word trust in this area and feeling the strength and power and energy associated with it.
And now let's travel back to our breath.
Noticing your inhale and your exhale.
And the next time that you inhale,
Associating and tying the mantra to it.
Om Durga Ye Namah And saying the exact same words as you exhale.
Om Durga Ye Namah And deciding the speed at which you need to say this mantra.
So allowing the entire mantra to fill the space of your inhale and your exhale.
Om Durga Ye Namah Om Durga Ye Namah Om Durga Ye Namah Om Durga Ye Namah Om Durga Ye Namah Continue holding the space with your breath and the mantra.
It is completely normal for our minds to wander.
So if this has happened to you,
Just notice that it did.
And coming back to Om Durga Ye Namah Complete two more rounds,
Two more full inhales and exhales.
And then releasing the mantra.
Knowing that this mantra has already within you developed a sense of trust and ease within the flow of your life.
And now I want you to call to mind someone who you trust deeply.
And as you call to mind that person,
Noticing what physically happened within the body.
Maybe you found that you brought a gentle smile to your face.
Or your heart space started to feel warm.
So tuning in to what physically happened for you when you called to mind that person.
And knowing that at any point,
If you feel as though you cannot find that trust within yourself,
You can always call upon that person to maybe give you a little bit of a nudge.
To trust.
And from your heart center,
Sending that person love.
And peace and wellness.
And deep gratitude.
And then we will begin to notice one last time.
How our bodies are physically feeling.
Maybe even noticing the difference of how you feel now from when you first sat down or lied down.
Noticing how your breath feels.
And even your mind.
Maybe perhaps the mind feels a little bit more steady,
A little bit more spacious.
Slowly beginning to bring your hands in front of your heart center.
Or if you're lying down,
Maybe just stacking one hand on top of the other in the heart space.
And you can even do this if you're seated too.
Maybe just holding that area.
And knowing that you are always within the arms of trust.
And as I said earlier,
Maybe if you feel like you can't come to that space of finding trust within your own lives and surrendering,
Maybe you call upon that person to help you a little bit.
With those hands either in front or resting on the heart center,
Send yourself a message of love,
Of gratitude,
Of peace.
While maybe we are all spiritually growing right now and maybe we're all trying to work towards a place of being a little bit more trusting.
In the present moment,
We're all doing a really wonderful job of taking care of ourselves.
Just showing up tonight shows that it's important to take care of yourself.
From my heart center to each of yours,
I am deeply grateful that you join me each week.
I hope you have a beautiful evening and a weekend and the next week ahead.
Namaste.
