Suppose you have a terrible fight with your spouse at home.

Mind is agitated,

Lots of rages.

Then you don't know at that moment how to go to the witness because your mind is consumed.

So maybe at that time maybe some of your chanting might help,

Maybe some breathing might help,

Maybe doing yoga postures.

You do these things automatically.

You get out of the house in a huff and a puff and you go and run or you walk away.

You walk a lot for 20-30 minutes in your anger and see how it calms down.

So these things naturally your body-mind is programmed to do and if in part of that program if it does a dvaitam meditation,

Recognize it's for the mind to calm down and it's okay.

Do you get it?

You don't have to like take a prana and never going to do dvaitam meditation from now on.

No,

No.

Just recognize the dream character is agitated right now and the dream character needs to calm down.

So because the dream character needs to calm down,

He is going to use something from his dream world only to calm down.

So you're using dream music,

You're using dream money,

A dream guru,

A dream guru's technique,

A dream mantra.

It's okay.

It's all in a part of the dream world.

It is to calm down the dream character.

I'm using the dvaitic meditation.

But I know that this is not the final step.

This does not get me to the truth about who I am.

When the mind is less agitated,

It's calm,

It's quieter,

Then I can take a step back and recognize who I am the witness.

The mind was unhappy.

The mind had a fight with the spouse.

The mind got involved in that drama.

I am not unhappy.

I always remain untouched.

Do you get it?

This is the ultimate.

This is where I have to get.

If I can get there immediately,

Fantastic.

I become a master.

But if I'm not,

Then I don't have to beat myself up.

No,

It's okay.

Do your mantra,

Do your breath,

Whatever helps.

Calm the mind down and then do the step of coming to the dvaitic witnessing meditation.

How can the dream character ever know why the dreamer is dreaming this specific dream?

Can this dream character ever figure out why this dream world is like this?

Is it?

No.

It's not possible.

It's not possible because it's the dreamer's dream.

I need to accept it as it is.

That's more on me to accept the way life is as it is.

Correct.

Ten on ten.

Now this understanding happens only when you come to this recognition.

I am the witness.

Oh,

I cannot do anything.

I'm not the doer.

I am not the thinker.

I cannot act.

I cannot change anything in this dream.

At first the ego is frustrated because the ego always wanted to be in control of the dream.

The ego wanted to run the show.

Yes.

And then finally when the ego sees that I'm not this body-mind.

I am the witness.

It drops.

It gives up its fight.

At that moment you will experience complete freedom from your own ego.

The freedom is not from the miseries of this dream world.

The freedom is from my own ego because my own ego was holding on to the dream.

My own ego was saying this should happen and this should not happen in the dream.

I don't like the woman with the umbrella.

But that's the part of the dream world.

You cannot change it.

No,

I don't like the woman with the umbrella.

Okay.

So be it.

You're stuck.

You are stuck in your own ego's control freak nature.

When you become the witness,

You drop the identification with the body-mind,

With the dream character,

This control freak nature of yours collapses.

And that is true freedom.

That is liberation.

Now you don't have an option but to accept things as they are.

Yeah.

Now these eyes are nothing but peepholes through which you see the movie of this world.

You cannot change the movie.

Already been scripted,

Written,

Directed,

Acted and completed.

I'm only able to watch the movie.

Now that ego's zid,

We call it in stubbornness.

Zid.

Yeah.

The stubbornness that I want to control this,

That drops.

That is the freedom.

Thank you.

Ektaji,

I had a question.

You know,

I hear you're saying we are not the doers and it's hard to kind of come to terms with that.

But if you take somebody like Einstein or Van Gogh or somebody,

You know,

People of that nature who achieved extraordinary things.

I always think of them as somebody to look up to or achieve.

How do you come to the,

How do we relate to that one?

Did it just happen to them?

Yeah.

Or did they not get there by their own effort?

No,

No,

No,

No,

Nobody gets there by their effort.

You sit and really watch all these sincere interviews of people who have attained a lot in life.

All these big stars,

Even your great celebrities,

Great authors,

Great painters.

In their most honest moment they will say,

I don't know what got me here.

I have no idea what I did to attain and achieve what I have attained and achieved today.

Every honest celebrity,

Achiever,

Painter,

Movie actor.

Shah Rukh Khan has said this so many times in so many interviews.

Amitabh Bachchan has said this in so many interviews.

There's so many people who have actually said this.

Where I am today,

I have done nothing to be here.

It's a blessing.

I have no idea from where it came.

I did nothing.

So these are the people who get those glimpses of,

No,

I don't do anything.

Everything happens on its own.

You have to start recognizing it.

What I am telling you,

Jai,

I'm not telling you from theory.

I'm not telling you from books.

I am telling you from my experience and I know you can get there.

I am not special.

You are the same as me.

You and I are not different.

If I can see it,

You can see it.

You only have to have that interest in yourself.

Right now your interest is in this dream world.

That is the problem.

So play in this dream world.

I'm not telling you.

Don't play.

One day you will get tired and you will remember this conversation with Ekta.

This is sowing the seed for that one day when Jai will wake up and realize,

Yes,

Ekta told me this,

That I will get tired of this dream world.

One day I will see the futility of all this,

This dream world and I will start looking within myself.

And when you start really getting interested and looking within,

Then you will find the truth.

Only when you are ready to wake up from this dream will you wake up from the dream.

If you're still enjoying the dream,

How can you wake up?

You cannot wake up from the dream.

So first things first.

The first thing that will happen to you is you will start seeing the futility of it all.

When you truly see the futility of it all,

Then you will start looking within and when you really start looking within,

That's the moment that you will recognize,

Oh I am just the witness.

All this lifetime,

20,

30,

40,

50 years that I spent,

60 years,

70 years,

However old you are,

All these years I only assumed I was doing.

I hope you wake up soon.

Each one of you.

It's always our own interest,

Right Jai?

Right now you're very interested in this world,

The money,

The name,

The fame.

That is where the focus of the mind is.

I have renounced this already.

Ready to go now.

This moment ready to die.

You are not ready to die right now.

That's the difference.

It's not the death of this body only.

It's the death of that I that wants to relish this.

That I has already died here.

Doesn't exist.

You'll get there.

Don't worry.

You'll get there.

You don't have an option because it's a dreamer's dream.

This dream character belongs to the dreamer.

The problem with this dream character is that he starts thinking that I am a separate individual entity.

That is your problem Kush.

It's the dreamer's dream.

It is his script.

He has written everything.

It is not in my hands.

I can assume it is in my hands.

I can fool myself for 20,

30,

40,

50 years.

There are people who fool themselves all their lives.

Somewhere deep down,

Deep down they knew all along that I'm fooling myself.

There is something within you that tells you every now and then you're fooling yourself.

Happens to all of us.

What is telling you you're fooling yourself?

You also get a glimpse many times you're walking around and you feel this is so dreamy.

It's not real.

It does happen to you.

God,

The dreamer or the consciousness made man in his own image.

He gave us exactly the same qualities.

That is why every night you go into a dream.

Every night you recognize there are two versions of me.

One where I became the dream character and one where I was just witnessing the dream.

I was just knowing the dream.

Many times I forget this witness.

I just become the dream character.

That's what is your status right now.

You become the dream character and you're saying oh I have to enjoy this dream.

I'm supposed to live life to the fullest.

You're forgetting one very important aspect of yourself.

This is not theory.

I'm not telling you to learn this by heart and tell yourself like a mantra every day.

Pointless.

That is the path.

Not at all.

I'm telling you wake up and recognize.

I don't have an option.

I the dreamer forget myself.

I voluntarily take on the role of a dream character and experience this dream world.

So I do have these two aspects of me and those are experiential.

Right now,

Right here.

Right now,

Right here,

You are looking at me on the screen.

Eyes are looking.

Mind is saying yes,

No,

I agree,

I disagree.

Beyond that there is someone who already knows that the mind is saying yes and no.

That is the witness.

That's it.

Rocket science nahi hai.

It's not an out-of-the-world difficult science.

It's very simple.

The knower knows the mind is saying yes and then the head is nodding along with that yes.

The knower knows the mind is saying no and the head is going no.

The knower is equal to the witness.

It is there right now.

You're not manufacturing it.

In fact till the time you think,

Till the time you feel that you are the dream character and you are in this dream world,

You're not really living life.

The day you start waking up and recognize I am the witness,

Then life becomes fun.

Then you start living life because now sorrow does not touch you.

Now you never suffer.

Now you really begin living life.

So a dream character never lives life to its fullest.

It's not possible for a dream character.

Who lives life to its fullest?

When the dreamer he wakes up and recognizes oh I am dreaming.

Aha!

It's only a dream.

That is the meaning of living life fully.

Clear?

Start working now.

Enough of intellectualization.

A lot of you are just intellectually listening to all this.

You are not doing self-exploration.

Advaita Vedanta is not about shravana.

Only Dwaitam path was about shravana.

We have left that behind.

You have to wean yourself away from those practices where you used to just listen.

This is not for just shravana.

This is not for just listening.

Advaita,

First step is shravana.

You listen.

Second step is manana.

You contemplate.

You recognize.

Did I understand this?

Did I get it?

And third,

Now I start practicing it in my daily life with my wife,

With my husband,

With my child,

With my parent,

With my boss,

With my obnoxious neighbor.

Everywhere I start applying it in life.

Nidhi Dhyasa.

If you really want to get deeper into this knowledge,

Start doing self-exploration.

Self-exploration meditation channel.

Link was sent out I think today already.

Yeah.

They're all self-explorations on one single meditation channel on YouTube.

Keep doing the self-exploration.

Start understanding what is the meaning of self- exploration.

What is the meaning of Nidhi Dhyasa.
