Welcome to In the Flow.
I'm Fletcher and I am enjoying the remnants of a hurricane right now.
It's raining and a little bit of thundering which you might hear.
It's kind of chilly and the perfect time to just smuddle up and get in the flow.
Water flows,
Doesn't it?
It moves to its greatest place of ease.
A place with the least amount of restriction.
And that is where you're about to go.
So before you get there,
Get as comfortable as possible.
Take a breath in and out.
And begin to sink in.
In this practice,
We're going to be creating a neural pathway training your body so that when you say three,
Two,
One to yourself,
You're going to train yourself to be in the flow.
Now,
How are you in this moment?
Are you flowing?
If you were a body of water right now,
Would you be a funky pond,
A whitewater rapid,
A tranquil ocean,
Maybe a hurricane?
Feel your current amount of flow.
Another current is the breath.
The breath travels and peruses the body.
It's also the link between your physical self and things much more subtle,
Perhaps even spiritual.
In your mind's eye,
You see the number three.
Imagine it.
Say it to yourself three times.
Three,
Three,
Three.
You start by bringing your attention to the crown of the head,
Allowing it to be more at ease.
You feel the tension around the eyes melting away.
The jaw is soft.
The tongue is resting.
And you feel the weight of your entire head.
Noticing that space,
The physical size of your head and the amount of space that it takes up.
Your head in space.
And your attention comes down from the head into the neck.
As this area becomes more spacious,
Preparing for the energy to flow,
Opening the gates.
You control how much.
Awareness moves into the shoulders,
Softening,
Releasing tension.
Notice the space of your head,
Neck,
And shoulders.
The space that it occupies with ease.
This ease moves from the shoulders down the arms to the fingertips.
You notice the space,
Physical space,
Of the head,
Neck,
Shoulders,
And arms.
And now you allow your attention to move into your torso,
Your back,
The front,
The right side of your torso,
Left side of your torso.
Finding ease in the hips now.
You bring awareness into the thighs,
Allowing them to release their grip upon your bones.
Releasing tension,
Opening pathways.
The thighs become more at ease.
This ease moves into the knees,
Down to the calves,
Through the ankles,
Feet,
And to the tips of your toes.
The whole body is at ease.
Notice the space of your whole physical body.
As the whole body became at ease,
It released and opened.
Now we switch our attention to the breath,
Which moves through these subtle pathways,
The values,
Winds of the body,
But you can imagine this wind like water flowing.
Notice how the energy of the breath flows through your entire being.
Now,
Noticing the amount of space that the energy of your being takes up.
Visualizing the number two now.
And we say it three times,
Two,
Two,
Two.
And so we've noticed the space of the body,
The space of the breath.
And now we're noticing the space beyond this space.
And that space extends even further,
And further,
And further,
Until you wind up in the happiest space that you've ever been,
The place where you feel the most yourself.
Connect with the energy of that space as it's your own.
Soaking up this energy.
Connect with it as it is your own.
Then visualize the number one as we say it three times,
One,
One,
One.
Together now,
Counting backwards from 50 to one.
And now we're seeing the number one as we say it three times.
And now we're seeing the number one as we say it three times.
One,
One,
One.
And you find yourself completely in the flow.
