Hi there,

This is Erika.

Today on Mindful Minutes I'm going to be guiding you through an anchoring in the present moment meditation.

This will only take a moment out of your day,

Providing you the opportunity to take up a bit of space to ground and release whatever you may be holding on to.

Let's begin.

Start by finding a comfortable seated position and gently close your eyes or lower your gaze.

Take a deep breath in through the nose,

Feeling the air expand your lungs.

And slowly exhale through the mouth,

Releasing tension.

Gently bring your awareness to the points where your body meets the surface beneath you.

Notice the steadiness,

Whether it's a ground,

A chair,

Your sit bones,

Or your bed.

Allow yourself to settle into this support.

And shift your focus now to your hands.

Perhaps they rest on your lap or beside you,

Feel their weight.

Maybe you notice warmth,

Coolness,

Or the subtle pulse of life beneath your skin.

If your thoughts wander,

Gently guide them back with a breath.

Inhale,

Feeling the air enter.

Exhale,

Allowing stillness to return.

You are here,

Supported.

Lean into your breath and the support it provides you with.

Breathe in.

Do this a few more times,

Noticing the unique sensations traveling through your body,

Supporting you,

Anchoring you in the present.

When you're ready,

Invite some gentle movement into your hands,

Feet,

And limbs.

And slowly bring yourself back to where we began.
