Hey everybody,
Welcome to Unleashing Your Creativity with the Sacral Chakra Meditation.
Take a moment now to settle into your space.
Find some stillness and a place where you can find some some quiet,
Relative calm.
Just to allow yourself to really drop in and give yourself the gift of fully immersing yourself in this meditation where we tap into your sacral chakra in order to unleash the creative being that lives within you.
We're going to begin with a progressive muscle relaxation.
So find your stillness and take a nice deep breath in.
As we go through this meditation,
It's very normal for your mind to wander.
Just use my voice as your anchor.
And each time your mind wanders off and you notice it,
Just pull your awareness back to the sound of my voice and know that that's totally normal,
Totally expected,
Totally okay.
Alright,
Let's begin by bringing your attention down to your feet,
Your toes.
We're going to start bringing in tension here by curling our toes in towards the arch of our foot and hold them,
Scrunch them tightly.
Take a breath in and exhale to release.
Let go of that tension in your feet.
Feel the blood rush back into your toes.
Let the tension drain out of them.
Moving to your calves,
Flex your feet,
Pull them back towards your knees.
So we're tightening,
Engaging through the calves,
Holding this tension as we breathe in and letting go as we breathe out.
And now feel your legs grow heavy and sink into the space below you.
Moving up to the knees and thighs,
Squeeze these muscles,
Engage the quads and the hamstrings,
Noticing the strength in your legs.
Hold this tension and breathe in.
Let it go as you breathe out.
Notice your legs becoming a part of the surface beneath you,
Still and rooted.
Bring your attention now up to your glutes and pelvis.
Tighten the muscles of your seat and your hips.
Hold this tension at your physical base.
Breathe in and release as you breathe out,
Allowing your hips to widen and soften.
Feeling the connection between your tailbone and the ground.
Scanning our attention up to our core.
Engage to the abdomen by drawing your navel towards your spine,
Tightening in the core.
Hold it here and sip in a breath.
And then release as you exhale,
Allowing your belly to soften completely.
And then taking your next deep breath into that soft space.
Now up to our chest and back.
Take a deep breath in here and hold it at the top of your breath.
Squeeze your shoulder blades together as I'm trying to make them touch.
Hold in this expansion.
And then exhale fully.
Release your upper back.
Allow yourself to breathe naturally.
Now bring your attention up to your shoulders.
Shrug them up high towards your ears,
Creating a sense of really tight,
Bunched tension.
This is an area where we hold a lot of our stress throughout the day.
So just notice how familiar this might feel to you.
We're gonna hold it here for an extra beat just because of how much tension lives here.
Take a deep breath in.
And then let it all go.
Letting your shoulders drop.
Letting any lingering stress from the day melt out of your body at this time.
We're gonna go down to our hands and our arms now.
With your hands extended by your sides,
Curl your hands into fists and engage your forearms and your biceps.
Squeeze here and breathe in.
And release as you breathe out.
Allowing your hands to go soft and open gently.
Allowing your arms to melt into the space around you.
Now let us shift our focus up towards our face.
Our face,
Which is our expression center,
And how we communicate so much.
So let's take a moment to give our face the break that it needs.
First by bringing tension by squeezing our eyes tightly shut.
Maybe clenching the jaw if that feels okay for you.
Furrowing the brow.
Just bringing as much tension here as you can.
Let's hold it for a moment.
Now breathe in.
And let it all go as you breathe out.
Letting your face go smooth.
Letting any mask from the day just fall away.
You don't need that here.
And finally we're gonna do a full body engagement.
So bring tension all the way from your toes to the top of your head.
So curl those toes in.
Squeeze through the calves and the thighs and the glutes.
Bring tension to your core.
Bring your shoulders up to your ears.
Squeeze your hands into fists.
Crunch up your face.
Bringing all that energy.
All that friction from the day.
Everything that's stored in your body that it's time to let go of.
Bring it to the surface.
Breathe in.
And just let it go as you breathe out.
Just notice how your body feels.
Now that your body is a clear vessel,
I want you to travel back in your mind to a time when you felt most creative.
Maybe this was a project,
A solution to a problem,
Or maybe just a moment that felt like pure freedom.
And if a specific memory doesn't come here,
Simply imagine a version of yourself that is entirely unburdened,
Playing,
Exploring,
Curious.
I give you a moment now to envision this version of yourself.
Now I ask that you really start to connect with this vision,
This version of yourself.
What kind of environment are you in?
Are there others around you?
Or are you alone?
What sort of tools or materials might you be utilizing?
And how does this feel in your body to remember this state of flowing creativity?
There are no wrong answers here.
Whatever you're feeling is exactly right.
Just connect,
Connect with the feeling and notice what other sensations might be available to you.
Now let that memory fade into a soft glowing orange light that's located two inches below your navel.
This is the location of your internal wellspring.
Imagine a pool of vibrant orange water within your pelvis,
The home of your creativity,
Of authenticity,
And your source to feel and share pleasure.
And as you breathe,
See how the water begins to swirl.
With every inhalation,
The water rises.
With every exhalation,
It settles.
And if you're feeling dry or stuck,
Imagine there's a fresh spring of water pouring into this pool,
Clearing away any of the dust or of the mundane.
And if you feel overwhelmed or stormy,
Imagine that the water becomes smooth like a mirror.
And now spend a few moments here,
Just watching the movement of the water as you breathe in and breathe out.
Just letting it flow naturally.
Now this orange light is not meant to stay contained.
This is an energy of self reaching out to connect for the other.
And now this orange flowing water begins to emanate a beautiful light right from your center.
And see this orange light grow brighter,
Extending beyond the confines of your body,
Out into the space around you.
So now there is a warm glowing energy emanating from your being,
Ready and craving to connect with others.
Now I invite you to visualize someone or something that you wish to share your light with.
See them clearly in your mind.
And as you breathe,
Watch the orange light travel towards them,
Enveloping them with your warmth and your authenticity.
And watch as their light also envelops you,
Combining to create an even brighter,
Even more vibrant color.
Notice how it feels to give and receive without losing yourself.
You're not giving away your energy.
You're creating a shared field.
Now imagine that this light continues to expand until everything around you is bathed in this soft orange glow.
And it doesn't matter how much light you give.
You always have plenty for yourself.
Now bring to mind an idea that's been living inside you or problem where you felt stuck without a solution.
Imagine placing it directly into the center of your sacral energy or that orange light.
And see yourself meeting this challenge with the wisdom of water.
Water does not break against the rock.
It adapts,
Transforms,
And eventually finds its way.
Now breathe life into the edges of this idea,
Making it flexible and new.
Striking the delicate balance of holding this idea or this problem in your mind,
But not grasping it so tightly that you can't see a way forward.
Putting your trust in the universe.
And it will be figured out.
They will find a creative solution here.
Spend a moment in this space.
Now repeat these affirmations silently in your mind.
I am a conduit for inspiration.
I connect with others with ease and authenticity.
I honor the sweetness of life.
If there's any other thought,
Mantra,
Or affirmation running through your mind,
Now is the time to repeat it silently.
Now take a final deep breath down into your sacral center just below your belly button.
Feel the warmth of the orange light one last time.
Knowing that this light,
This flowing energy and creativity lives within you at all times.
And now whenever you feel ready,
Start bringing yourself back into the space around you.
Start by wiggling your fingers and toes,
Moving your wrists and ankles,
And then taking a nice deep breath in.
And finally open your eyes and reorient yourself to the space around you.
I hope you go on and have a beautiful,
Creative,
And free-flowing day.
And you can get me back here next time for another meditation.
