Feel more empowered and confident within yourself. This meditation is just under 17 minutes and will guide you through mindfulness practice to feel positive and confident, whilst helping you to focus and become aware of your strengths. It will help you to mindfully acknowledge and help clear your mind of negative thoughts you are having, leaving you feeling more empowered within yourself and ready for the rest of your day.

In order to become truly empowered,

We must understand our strengths as well as our weaknesses.

That way we can gain authentic belief that we can accomplish anything we set our minds to,

And we are open to asking others for help in the areas they present strength.

Make sure that you're in a comfortable position for you.

Let your eyes slowly and softly close to get a sense of deep relaxation as you do so.

Let's begin with choosing our thoughts.

We have thousands upon thousands of thoughts every single day,

So it's important to recognise whether a particular thought is helpful to us or not.

You will have all sorts of thoughts,

Good,

Bad and neutral,

But it's up to you which of those thoughts you choose to believe and allow to become part of your life.

So let's take a deep breath in here and let it all go.

You have chosen this time for you to expand and grow to levels of empowerment that you didn't know were possible until now.

Begin thinking of some things that have been on your mind recently.

Perhaps there are some concerns or some worries,

Maybe some memories are coming into your awareness.

See each of these concerns or worries and start to label each thought as whether they're helpful or not.

The way that you can do this is to ask,

Does this thought contribute to the betterment of my life or is it something that I cannot control or it could simply be gossip or drama?

So continue sorting your thoughts and giving each one a label.

Is it helpful to your life or is it mentally a waste of your time?

Allow these thoughts to pour in as quickly as you like or as slowly as you like and as you label these thoughts as beneficial to your wellbeing or not so much.

You notice that the thoughts that don't best serve you,

They start to dwindle and they start to fade.

Imagine that you can take these thoughts that are helpful and apply them to your goals and to your dreams.

Take them as tools and methods to achieve all that you ever dreamed of.

And with those other thoughts that are trying to bring you down,

Simply say to them,

I hear you,

But I don't need you.

You can imagine that you're throwing them away into the rubbish or into a compost pile or into the wind.

Whatever helps you to get rid of these thoughts for good,

Do this now.

It's almost as though you're sorting and organising the thoughts in your mind as if you're giving your mind a spring clean.

Imagine all of those unhelpful and negative thoughts.

They're in this huge big pile and your mind is feeling so much more clear and so much more open.

And as you see this huge pile of rubbish and all these thoughts that you've done so well at getting rid of,

Imagine that you can set a fire to it almost in a ceremonial burn,

Taking away from you and empowering thoughts to find home in your mind.

And hear the crackle of the fire and see the beauty of the flames reaching high into the sky.

You can see the fire burning down to ashes now and the heat of the fire subsides.

And you take these remnants of old ways of thinking and nourish your mind with good thoughts.

You can use this technique anytime you find an unhelpful thought cross your mind.

Simply throw it in a fire or a big pile.

You don't need these kinds of thoughts anymore in your mind.

Now bring your mind and your focus to some of your strengths.

It could be as simple as being able to cook a mean roast dinner or as complex as building a car from scratch.

How can you use the strength of yours in a good way that contributes to society as a whole?

Imagine taking your talents and making them accessible to others.

This is self empowerment.

Now bring into your mind some of your weaknesses.

It's good to know your boundaries and your limits so that you can ask for help from others as to not to wear out or to stretch yourself too thin.

These weaknesses can be things as simple as negative self talk or as complex as taking on more responsibility in order to please others than you are able to comfortably do.

Remember that we are all here for each other.

Each one of us can provide something for someone else as well as each one of us can receive something from someone else.

This is also self empowerment.

Now imagine with the great power of your mind that you are using all of your strengths to attain your goals.

Now see yourself collaborating with others who provide their strengths to balance your weaknesses.

See these people delighted to offer their wisdom.

You are working together toward the ultimate goal of widespread empowerment.

Now hear yourself repeating these empowering affirmations bringing them into reality.

I choose to use my strengths and acknowledge my weaknesses.

I choose to grow and excel not to compete with others.

I choose powerful thoughts that push me towards my dreams.

I choose to be motivated.

I choose to listen to others but not to be affected by negative opinions.

I choose to be authentic to my passions.

Now breathe in three deep breaths.

One long exhale,

Feel all the air reach down into your belly and a long soft exhale.

Two more of these.

As you are doing these you are setting these wonderful affirmations and the meditation deep within all aspects of your mind and your body.

Whenever you feel ready you can open your eyes and leave feeling so empowered that you can take on the day with confidence.
