Welcome to this space of relaxation.
Today I invite you for a short self-care ritual that will help you connect with yourself,
Take more space for just being present and sending yourself some love.
Make yourself comfortable now,
Whether you're just taking a sitting break on your chair or sofa or maybe you want to lie down on your bed,
Whatever feels most comfortable right now and close your eyes.
As you take the next few breaths in and out,
Just listen to every inhale and exhale you take and feel your heartbeat in your chest.
Release the need of having to do anything or having to think about anything or plan.
Right now this is a time only for yourself.
So through this breath and with awareness take the next few seconds to just simply ask yourself how am I feeling right now.
Notice what's going on in your body.
Be aware what's present in your mental space.
Notice your inner energy and any feelings or emotions you are experiencing right now.
Just take your time to listen and be open.
Lovely now.
Whatever you are feeling and experiencing just accept it,
Just be with it and through the next few breaths just send yourself some love.
Starting at the top of your head,
Sending some love to your head,
To your mind and if you want to you can also place your fingers or fingertips on your forehead and the top of your head and give yourself a gentle massage.
Just pressing or tapping your fingertips,
Feeling the connection with your scalp,
Feeling the connection with your skin.
Breathing in deeply to your face space and maybe inviting a gentle smile,
Appreciating your beautiful face,
Your eyes,
Your lips and your nose.
And now if you want you can place one finger on each side of your jaw and just start massaging your jaw in a circular motion,
Releasing any tension from that space,
From your teeth.
And as we breathe deeper and relax the jaw,
We are also creating more space in the diaphragm muscle underneath your ribs that is helping you to breathe deeper,
It's responsible for deep belly breaths.
So feel it as you take another breath in as you expand and when you exhale just relax,
Letting go.
Now taking a deep loving breath to the space of your shoulders,
With the exhale just releasing tension from your shoulders,
Releasing worry,
Releasing any heaviness of responsibilities that you might be carrying.
Invite more ease.
And now I invite you to place your right thumb on your left wrist,
Just in the middle there and just start gently pressing in a circular motion.
This is an acupressure point that will help you release inner tension,
Just massaging gently.
And then do the same on your right wrist,
So with your left thumb start massaging and pressing your right wrist,
Feeling any sensations that come with that,
This is a very relaxing point.
And after the next exhale release and for the next few breaths just place your left hand on your heart and your right hand on your belly.
Feel your breath as you inhale,
Feeling your belly rising on your hand,
Then your ribs and then your chest.
On the exhale feeling your chest slightly dropping down,
Then your ribs and your belly going in.
And again inhale when you expand,
Hold yourself here and feel the breath,
Feel the life force within you.
And exhale as you're totally letting go of control,
Connecting with yourself,
Connecting to this present moment,
Giving yourself love and appreciation.
Do this for four more breaths,
Holding yourself here,
Being safe,
Being grounded,
Being here and now.
Beautiful,
And just keep cultivating this feeling of love for yourself,
The space of love,
Knowing that it's ok to slow down,
It's essential to take some time for yourself each day,
To nourish yourself with love and peace.
Next inhale,
Stretch your arms up to the sky and lengthen your spine.
And exhale,
Bring your hands back to heart.
Thank you so much for this practice,
Feel free to come back here whenever you need a little reset,
A little space of self-connection and I'm wishing you a beautiful rest of your day.
Namaste.
